Could start with a picture my man. We all nice to see a face or something resembling a human being. It also adds to the legitamcy.

My tinder experiences have been relatively positive.... I'm referring to the men I've met and enjoyed the company of. However, I've found those that have messaged me (and not got to the point of meeting) have fallen into 2 distinct categories...... Dead Set Douche and The No Ideas. Douches message straight up with crass uncouth requests for sex and the No ideas, are simply that.... have no idea how Tinder works, how to talk to a female, what they want OR how to read a profile. I can leave Tinder 90 percent of the time and only get on when required LOL

It was always easy to find sex but I never found a keeper, which is what I was looking for at the time, I stopped bothering with it because I wanted quality, not quantity.

I would install Tinder when I went to Bali as it was once a great tool for women like myself who would like a little company and sex (gasp!) during the holiday. I was reasonably successful - Bali is of course frequented by many people every year for their holiday. Single women on holiday with their friends, or just on their own, having a great time that wouldn't mind ''hooking up'' with men in similar circumstances. A couple of trips ago it changed quite suddenly; a proliferation of women who were quite upfront on their profiles that they were not after ''hookups, FBs, FWBs, one-nighters, after the real deal - someone to share my life journey with''. I spent an inordinate amount of time swiping left. Trip after that, it was chock-a-block with nothing but the same and I uninstalled it after a couple of days as I had way better things to do with my time than just swiping left. Last trip I didn't bother. There a couple of possible explanations for this, at least to me. Lots of Aussie expats in Bali, lots of FIFO workers that live there during their off-swing. That would explain some, but not all. The other explanation is that holidayers just forgot or didn't change their profile from their normal at-home Australian one. What I really don't get though, is that Tinder was always intended to be a ''hookup'' app, ask people what their first impression is of Tinder and most if not all would blurt out ''hookup app'', so why would you use it for a traditional, romantic dating app? I know, I know - people can use it however they want. I'll use an analogy I've used before on here though; why would you go to McDonalds for a gourmet meal?

I've never had Tinder ' so l cant comment . But you definately drew a interesting picture on how it suppose to work vs how it really works. I too ' can never figure why women on a hookup , sex site , come looking for romance ? No wonder things end up in the too hard basket ?

My experience a single woman n Tinder was dreadful. Admittedly, I was pretty inexperienced back then. From what I could tell, it’s more for the younger crowd. RHP bought me many more experiences than any other site. Ms HNGC.

But when I signed up thought you needed a handle. Instead you needed to have your name... So maybe that is going against me

Tried it for two years a few years back. Given I live regionally, and that Tinder and other apps are based on proximity (although I spend much time around Melbourne to gain some matches), I never met anyone through it with the exception of meeting one person at a generic local singles night who was also using it. Tried Bumble too but rarely got any messages from matches (women on there must message first, go figure). If you look up Tinder complaints, you will see it is 100% automated, no human involved in the automated complaints/review system either, and a massive amount of complaints about being "permanently banned" often right after paying for an upgrade. (Further email communication only ends up with a dead end). So yes it works, for some only, and definitely for the app developers...

I got my profile banned on Tinder too. 😂🤣 I’m glad too, because I’ve had more success on RHP! How I got banned, I have no idea...I think I was reported by a guy who ghosted me in the past...

I also use tinder in Bali. I've had lots of success on there. Tinder is easy and free to communicate once you've matched. I turn it off when in Australia, as I've never had any matches here in Port Denison.

Love Tinder. Have met some great respectful young guys on there who I'm still friends with yes friends not fuck buddies 4 years on. I do have a finely tuned bullshit radar though and most should be more scared of me than l am of them 😁

Got banned for some unphathomable reason. There's no right of reply and they don't tell you why. It did shift from "hookup" to "looking for the One" but you could still get some good action and our profiles were clear on expectations.

Generally I find tinder ok when looking for a hook up and am not being too fussy. Rhp delivers a better experience in my opinion. But I love the ease of communicating through tinder as opposed to the clunkyness of Red Hot Pie
