To be able to operate a swingers club or party here is some info

September 16 2010

Hey all, We have noticed a lot of people lately just opening their homes etc as swingers clubs, and wondering why they get shut down. There are rules when it comes to operating a swingers club in Queensland and we thought we would type them here so you all are aware of them, so you can operate a party and know that you are not breaking any laws or council laws. Hope this helps everyone so we can all have choices and go to parties all over Queensland etc..and know that those parties are not gonna get raided or closed down, and be there for us to enjoy for a long long time. 1. Find a building that is zoned as a commercial venue. If not you will need to do town planning rezoning to make that building into a Nightclub for Adults byo. This allows you to operate a club. 2. If you are doing a house party, dont charge people....( are you charging them for sex) that is the question the PLA will ask. 3. If you are having one in a house dont do it weekly or monthly, it is then a club and must be under the council laws for operating a swingers club. You see no one wants a swingers club next door to where their children sleep, the laws are made just for this. It must be in a commercial area and zoned to suit a club. 4. Dont think you can rent a house and hold a swingers club in it, for the same reasons as No. 3. 5. NEVER advertise alcohol as a free drink to any swingers parties. The Liquor Licensing will fine you a large amount of money. You see you have to proove to them that the persons that attended the venue didnt pay the money at the door for alcohol and that is a hard one to prove. Also, you cannot have sex on a licensed venue so you are breaking the law if you dont make your party BYO . Everyone must bring their own alcohol , drink their own alcohol and never give out free alcohol 6. Make sure no food is available that isnt wrapped etc, lollies as this is health and safety. When people are having sex in a place where food is being served it is very unhealthy, think about it...where have their hands just been. 7. If you want to hold a house party , certainly do so.....but dont charge people...and dont make it a regular thing or you will be classified as a swingers club and council and police will shut you down. Councils are being very strict over the last few years, but approval can be gained, we are proof of that, so do the right thing and give us all fun places to attend to be ourselves. The reasoning behind the residence thing is that some places hold gangbangs and swingers parties in their homes, can you imagine if some guys go to one of these parties and dont get what they want..and then it is just a skip and a jump to a house next door to get what they want...So this is why there are laws for operating clubs and parties. Guys and gals stay safe , put on house parties for us all to attend as they are a very important part of the swinging lifestyle, but make sure you do them right so we can have them for years to come. Happy swinging and we hope we helped you all to enjoy the lifestyle in a safe and secure manner. We are always happy to hold any parties people want to have at our venue, as we are approved and you can have any sort of party you wish to hold on our venue. Just ask us if you wish to use the venue on a Sunday etc..we are happy to come to some sort of arrangement to make sure you all have the lifestyle choices you wish to have. ...is why I (Mr) will never again attend a Gang bang that is run in a hotel suite where there is a set price. I have told this story before but being well over a year or more ago there may be newbies on here who haven't heard this. In a nutshell I was at a private Saturday afternoon GB in city hotel ($50 per guest)that was raided by police..and I'm talking the dramatic door burst open Police running in flashing badges & screaming "Nobody move!" kind of raid. It was quite surreal & at first I thought it was a joke... but two uniformed officers, two detectives plus the two two undercover officers who were already in the room certainly made it no joke. It had been a revolving door party with people coming (no pun) and going for a couple of hours...I think there were about eight or ten of us guys still there...the Police knew that another 14 had been and gone(the lucky ones)..obviously from the hotel security cameras. Everyone was searched and I was so relieved that none of these other fellows had drugs on them..I was worried about that cos that would probably go bad for everyone else there (hence why drugs and other illegal things are banned from clubs and I never want to be near anyone with them...cos the actions of one idiot can tar everyone in the room with the same brush). Criminal checks were done on everyone..I think the Police were a little pissed that everyone came up clean...not even a speeding ticket...LOL. One funny aspect for me at least was that the police were astounded that I wanted to call my wife.. he said "Mate you don't want to do that"...but she knew where I was..that spun them out..then I explained the whole swinging lifestyle hehe. But..still no phone call.Everyone was given a court date & we had to attend the police station within a few days to be finger printed & photographed and give a statement. The official charge was ...now get this.. "Being on a premises reasonably believed to being used for prostituion etc. "...the etc & reasonably bits made it so open to interpretation. In the end the Police were pretty cool...they understood where I was was coming from. They said they don't care if people get together at parties and "fuck their brains out" but when it comes to many guys and a small number of girls it's a no no & is classed as prostituion if more money is being paid than the room costs. In the end I had my day in court...at taxpayers expense. Hours of court time..actually two different courts on that day (due to a balls up on their part)..so I saw two magistrates, two police prosecuters, all the other court staff that you need to deal with etc. all for what..no fine, no conviction and my file was ordered sealed indefinitely. What a waste of taxpayers money. I believe it was supposed to be the same for everyone however one guy was fined $400 , but it sounds like someone screwed his up and forgot to tick a box or something...so that sucked for him. I guess the big thing for the other guys was the fact some were married & their wives didn't know they were there...they probably did afterwards? So as Leesa said above if you want to have a party in a private residence DO NOT charge people money..that way you are keeping out of trouble. If you hold one in a hotel suite don't charge people any more than what your costs are..that way it's just friends chipping in..if you make money, that's a business. I would also suggest you never post the hotel name on any adult sites..keep that for private messages to guests cos I would assume hotels would not want their names associated with this (disgusting LOL) activity. The party I was at made that mistake...the hotel and date/time was advertised..that's how the hosts probably came unstuck?Oh and I would advise DO NOT allow anyone to have drugs at your party, if someone in a nearby apartment gets a wiff of dope for instance and complains and the management call police..everyone will be in hot water!Happy Humping!

The only upsetting part for us is, that we tell people this to help them not get in trouble and we get back lash saying that "CI" is trying to shut down all the house parties etc. We mail people to let them know and they don't even give us the common courteousy of a response or a thank you for your advice! x2foru: congratulations guys on doing a great job at your parties, if everyone would do what you guys do there would be heaps of fun to be had all over the place each weekend. We are happy to support anyone that holds a house party and post it on our site and our CI facebook to keep everyone up to date with what is going on around the suburbs in the lifestyle. After all, isn't that why we are all here...to have choices and to have fun in a SAFE and SECURE environment. We find this so humorous as we are not the ones shutting down the parties, it is the Council and the Police. So do the right thing and accept the advise before it is too late for house parties etc to exist anymore. They are and have been a very important part of our lifestyle that we all promote and we would never have a club if it wasn't for our early years going to house parties and enjoying the experiences. So please people do the right thing and keep them going, they are an important part of the lifestyle and one that can be enjoyed for all and many years to come if done properly. Dont put your patrons at risk of embarrassing situations and protect yourselves. There has been many a time we have coped the back lash for this and all we do is simply let people know of the laws. If in doubt, contact your local council or your local police station and make sure you are breaking any rules and we will all enjoy the lifestyle we all so love for many years to come.
