Currently watching Embarrassing Bodies, with Dr Christian Jessen. He has these blonde highlights that seem poular with British men (or is that just me?) and I must say I'm not a fan. At work I know a man who is grey, but dyes his hair dark brown. It is just the most unnatural thing. Keep it natural! I've met several twenty-something men in my life that were completely grey. Hot!! (Of course none of this applies when it comes to my own hair).

If you have all over grey then I think it's best to let nature take its course. If you just have a band of grey or grey spots/patches, then visit a hairdresser for a touch up.DO NOT dye your hair at home unless your misspent youth involved years of learning how to home dye. And even then, you can't beat a professional colourist!

Agree..... he has shocking hair(and youd want him to wash his hands with bleach too!)DG

Mr Sat I joke looks like George Clooney if you swing your eyes really quickly over him..(bit of an in house joke that I kid you not his brother reminds me of Richard Gere..) Anyways whilst his brother still retains the young Richard of brown hair, my husband has got the silver fox thing happening...it suits him like a glove and us one of those guys that can carry salt and pepper as not only is fifull head of hair..(why is that so rare nowadays?) But also he is fit and lean so all in all a rather spunky Bugger!! apparently there is a colour called camouflage hairdressers use for blokes that want to hide a few greys but please stay away from the likes of Grecian 2000, still have vivid memories of my day with this weird gray purple hair...urggggh. (sorry using mobile phone here..)

Mostly it looks ok. Have nothing against dyed hair on men, but I have a suggestion, and this goes for women also. When you age and colour your hair black, it does not look natural. A lighter shade is far more appealing and natural looking. Going darker can often make a person look hard. I tried to tell this to a girlfriend of mine once, she always wore such dark lipstick it made her face look hard and old. We should soften our colouring to look nicer. Just my thoughts in the matter.

don't go the shaved head, so eighties ! Your mum will hate it, women will think your Peter Garret and avoid you, skin cancer etc etc.Definitely a bad idea.

I would have no problem if I started greying. People that try to defy the process in my opinion need a serious talking to.

I am definitely NOT going to color! Your posts have been great advice, I think I will try the distinguished look and dress accordingly. Again, thanks to you all... awesome advice.

around the temples, and probably other places I can't see. There's probably about 50 of them, and they're all different shades. Go figure.I think that part of me looks quite fetching, if I do say so myself.....however, as they say, it's in the eye of the beholder. No intention of dyeing or otherwise colouring my hair....I am what I am, and nothing else.

Grey can make a man look older than he is and look washed out. Its a personal choice of course and you have to maintain it too.

Where some men look the goods with grey ' others dont. I have a flick of grey all over but my side levers are all grey. I dont mind the look and am told a touch of grey and blue eyes is sexy.. so happy to leave well enough alone.. But I have friends who do and dont use hair color. The one who doesn't ' looks gaunt and pale in the face and seems to dress accordingly. The one who does looks great because his wife is professional (a hairdresser) and keeps on top of it ' he looks fine.. I know a mechanic who colours his hair dark brown ( too dark for his skin colour ) and after a few weeks that awful red starts to show.. Not a good look at all..Bottom line... If you're going to color your hair.. Have it done professionally and keep it maintained... does'nt matter if your male.. It is 2013 afterall...

Absolutely positively guys, if you're graying, then let it go. I cannot abide a man trying to wind back the years by faking his hair (and beard!!!!) colour. I like men with grey hair. And just because we're on the subject, women should take a look at themselves too. I agree with the poster who mentioned women and black hair. Also applies to fake blondes. I'm a natural redhead, but the grays have been in for a long time and I'm quite frankly over all the fuss and bother. So I'm now a three tone female until its all grown out.Viking.

I do love a greying man. I met a man from here a while back who is younger than me and he's totally grey. Too sexy for words!

Never used dyes and I am grey/ silver at 43. I have never had a bad comment about it.

if you are going to dye it is has to be done professionally and maintained properly. I do get the occasional nudge to do something about the ever-increasing grey hairs, but I'm just pleased I've still got most of my hair and I'm not going to put any junk on it that might risk that! lolI do think grey facial hair makes a guy look older, and grey stubble just makes most men look like they been dragged off the streets.

A woman in her forties was disgussing going grey with some of the ladies of more advanced years. One of the women, around sixty, always kept her hair coloured red. When fortysumthin' asked, "Do your pubes go grey?", red's eyes dropped to the floor and with a pouting bottom lip she answered, "yes." Sure enough, a box of red dye was delivered to her "for a touch up". (Hehehehe)

I love a man who has greying hair - it is sexy! And distinguished! I don't like streaked hair on males or obviously dyed hair. Shane warne is - yuk! I also think bald men are sexy ;-)
