I just think a lot of couples on here are actually not really into it (or one of them isnt) and they are fussy as hell. I mean its hooking up for a fuck, not getting married or becoming best friends. I've always taken the approach start with vanilla then move onto the kink once some trust has been established. If you have regular playmates they might be more open to trying some of the things that you are into, but only once they have a bit of trust established first.

Yes. Many don’t get that kink is an extension to vanilla and requires deep respect and consent. So they are terrified of the whiff of it. Enjoying kink doesn’t make you anything other than more respectful in a vanilla situation. Both declared vanilla and kinky can be murderous psychopaths, but thank God that’s a minority of humans. A complete confusion and ignorance about what the other has in their mind is the issue in my opinion. Often associated with rigid thinking and conditioning.
