Travel Hook Ups

Do they work? Has anyone had successful stories they want to share when it comes to travel and hook up sites. I am newbie, so curious to here what shenanigans people get up to :) Do people travel across aus just for a hook up?

Travel across the country just for a hook up 😛 But I have had hook ups while I was on trip in interstates, and had a long term FWB (before my RHP time) who was a frequent business traveller and that companionship ended up turning into a dating relationship for a year or so before distance, as well as the issue of none of us were willing to move state, really did us apart. I work FIFO and travel when on R&R. I haven't had a travel hook up yet. But as I am flying solo..I could sure use some company. So if anyone is travelling to Bali or such, I would appreciate a message to see if we could share a drink/meal. - Posted from rhpmobile

I can't travel for hook ups i have too many commitments here. I don't really like travelers looking for hook ups as I'm seeking fwb someone traveling is more than likely going to end up being a one off thing which doesn't really do it for me.

Went interstate for a weekend. Had been chatting to the guy for 7 months...we saw each other on cam and talked on the phone all the time. He kept asking me over.....my son was away one week and I thought, Why not? Had a great time, no regrets. Dont think Id do it again though. Ive met too many lovely guys here in Perth. But never say never.

They have worked for me. Have met guys who traveled to my city. And have put up a travel notice when I was traveling, which became a regular hookup when I traveled there. So they have worked for me

I have to laugh - the RHP travel plans need a bit of work. At the moment, I'm getting travel notifications from people who live in my city - but are travelling to cities or towns 3 or 4 hours away. It must work on state, does it? Probably better if it works within cities - or a even 100km radius? Anyway, I have done on a couple of occasions, due to exceptional circumstances :)

We have had quite a few travel dates from various dating sites however the travel feature on this site seems to work the best in Australia (for obvious reasons). We've planned holidays quite a few times to travel to different states for play meets.Drove from Darwin to Broome for a meet and a 3 day holiday. Met and played in Japan & in Bali (not via this site). Travel meets have been a lot of fun but we have put a fair bit of effort in finding the right people and as always sometimes they don't go to plan.

Yes, they work a treat for us! Most our meet ups occur when we travel. There is something exciting about meeting up with that holiday vibe, although some trips are extended work travel & we make a holiday out of it. Be prepared to be swamped with messages & flirts if you decide to put a travel plan up!

When I recently put up a notification that I was going to be in the Cairns region the notification was going to guys in Brisbane and the GC, over 2000km away. Along with the many other things that need upgrading on this site that's definitely up there. At the moment it's really only useful if you're travelling to a capital city...it did work to help me organise my first MFM when I travelled to Melbourne a few years back.

I travel a lot interstate and overseas for work. i can definitely say it works for me in meeting men in different states. I am speaking from a single female point of view. It may be very different for men. I find that the overseas one can be very tricky as familiarity with overseas destinations can pose some difficulty in trying to decide where to meet when both are not familiar with the environs. so research is important. When you put up a travel plan, best you make it visible about 1-3 months in advance if you know the travel dates. For me, any longer, people will lose interest and think it is not a real travel date. And who plans for a meet 6 months in advance? 1 month in advance is quite a good lead time as your movements get to be more definitive closer to the date and you can further batten down the logistics for the meet. Also when you publish your travel plan, be more specific what you want out of the meet so you do not waste each other's time. Time available , what you want to do (drinks, dinner etc vs. fuck and go. either is acceptable and suitable for different people so no judgment) so expectations are set at a high level but malleable. Most important to have a decent, enticing and fun pics (if not already available) so when people click on your profile, you have basically a 2-5 second window of opportunity to sell yourself and entice the women to say yes. If you look nice and fun, expect mainly flirts from the ladies as most would be guests status. If you are lucky, a message from a female paying member (like myself) will find its way onto your message box. ('Tell him he's dreaming' ). Who wants a ONS with a bore, tightwad and sourpuss, right? Always try to respond to the flirts and messages when you can. Some of the people who will respond to you may not be what you are looking for as they would not even read your profile. Sometimes, they are the polar opposite of what you are looking for (eg. you looking for single females and they are attached or married). It can be frustrating but the key is not to get your knickers in a knot and be patient. just reply with a polite 'No Thank you' then move on. Good luck. It is a numbers game here. Best be prepared and have contingencies.

Plenty of quite attractive women have flown to Brunei..... "No obligation" of course 😄lol I've heard of guys offering flights to try and meet women in here. Pretty extreme form of hopeful fishing, really.

I have travelled interstate for meet and greets - the social ones organised via the events listings. Then there are the more private ones I have organised myself, which have been to meet specific people. I can certainly say its always been well worth making the trips. ;)

Quoting 'Summer_solstice' This guy from Brisbane who's travelling to Adelaide sent me a "Want to meet?" flirt. Profiles are there to be read, you know. He must have thought you are one of the must see Sydney tourist destination or a pitstop. .... they pull up, load up (or off load) and they keep on truckin!
