Especially when they've forgotten to erect the stop signs, so no one knows who has right of way! - Posted from rhpmobile

Respect,Trust and Loyalty. If you are driving down these streets together, in the same vehicle, they can be a wonderful journey. But if one party takes a short cut and heads off alone, it can be a total car wreck.

... ''Slippery When Wet''. The others should go without saying once acknowledged between two people and a pity when disregarded. Have to say our road works folk have a lot of explaining to do for putting up signs like the slippery one although appreciate ''Dangerous When Icy''. Word!

Words are cheap it's actions that matter..but amongst the words are clues..maybe depending on the person and the nature of the relationship mayhem may ensue when all is brpken, but in my experience its "not with a bang but a whimper ". TS Eliot Q

when I approach a fork in the road and there's a 'glass half full' st and a 'glass half empty' street, my car just veers off to the 'glass half full' st. I cruise along, enjoy the journey, few bumps and potholes on the highway, but arrive at my destination happy, though it's never really a destination, still part of the glorious journey R.T.L (respect, trust and loyalty) are mutual, if not felt my each party, they become void

If they are two way streets. Sounds like you can chuck a u-turn at any point and beat a hasty retreat, flinging a bit of mud from your screeching tyres at those who were on the journey with you. I'd like to think they were one way streets and we were travelling in the same direction, together. I'll respect you if you are honest, reliable and trustworthy. I won't demand respect, because it is your choice if you extend it to me. I'll be loyal unless you piss on me or those I care about. I won't demand it because it is your choice if you extend it to me. I'll trust you because you respect me and are loyal to me...and are honest with me. Trust what I say if my actions back that up; don't dump me in the trailer with all the others who have not lived up to what they have promised. Trust can't be demanded, only earned.

Loyalty can and should be given. Respect has to be earned. And trust is the intangible thing that makes you feel safe, happy and good

Two way streets such as Respect, Trust and Loyalty. But it turns to mayhem when they intersect with Interpretation Avenue... Have you ever tried to cross a 4 way stop sign intersection? I've only ever come across it once but the memory remains clear of the confusion of us all stopped on all 4 sides of the backstreet intersection not knowing what to do. A bit of finger pointing and shoulder shrugging and we were each on our way, I waited till last because I was in no rush. It's a pleasant memory, and what stands out is the cooperation. Cheers, Peachy

Thankyou RHP some great imagination there. I think I recognise the place of which you speak, the twin cities that are divided by the river flowing east/west and the rail tracks going north/south. As with all cities there are areas which are more attractive than others while Arethra Franklin was belting out R-E-S-P-E-C-T at a trendy night club in the Utopian quarter on the right side of the tracks Lou Reed was playing a gig down on the Dirty Boulevard that's in the tough quarter.
