Unfortunate Message

May 26 2015

Have you ever sent a message and then wished you hadn't the moment you pressed the send button? I did today to a very nice lady. I wasn't trying to hit on her but just to strike up a bit of conversation but it came out all wrong. I am embarrassed by it. She didn't resond and I don't blame her, I must have sounded like a presumptuous, pompus jerk. Should I send another apologising or just leave it be as a casualty of the internet?

let me share your pain. i'll make a forum post that i'll regret as soon as I press 'post'. my dick is so fuckin' small, it's like a parody of a dick. it's like a mouse's clit. it's like a flea bite that squirts cum when I scratch it.

You sound like a polite man OP, why do you think what you said came out wrong? Maybe she's just not the responding type. I must admit that I quite often don't respond until at least a day later if I have a fair few messages to go through. Good luck.

the subject matter can be very touchy for some people and sometimes I am too brief and too direct with my writing. Makes me sound dogmatic and thats not the way I like to present myself. Cheers

Has she read it? Id be inclined to not send a second message.... any others she receives will just put your timeline out of context. She just nay respond. But if she doesnt after a day or so of reading your email, ... send your follow up message BRIEFLY explaining where you think you slipped up. Then leave it with her. That my friend, is the best and most you can do. Good luck DG

Totally unfair OP. Without knowing what you said we cant help. There are some things that can not be taken back, you know like how you "cant get her 40 year old daughter out of your mind." You are screwed, no coming back. But if its something along the lines of "God I want to bed (for those that dont know that means fuck) you." that's easy to forgive. Just say sorry, if you mean it. So no advice from me. But i will say that the ball is in her court, she may just be taking her time to line up the reply especially if you put a lot of spin on the ball. Going in for the volley shot now may be a little presumptuous, let the clock tick a few more times.

Quoting 'amilucky' I think I will just play my banjo for a while. If it has been a couple days, then you have nothing to lose by apologising.

Send things that I immediately regret. Whether or not you send another message apologising depends on what you actually wrote. Post the message and we will be able to give a better answer
