Hey there folks Rather than hijack another thread, will put up a question here. It goes back to before we even joined this site and knew little of the lifestyle as far for swinging. The way vanilla had come to mind was from having it explained, by back in the days when swinging became the new craze. Swinging was frowned upon by local church going communities and if people were found to be swinging they were most likely cast out of the town they lived in, lose their jobs and all that judgemental jazz. Often swinging couples (back then) would have private sex parties in their homes. All throwing the car keys into a bowl and each would pick a set of keys and that would be the surprise for who was shagging who. (everyone gets lucky or not, but fair) Considering the dynamics back then, there was a lot of risk for married couples involved in the swinging scene, so the term vanilla was more of a code word that swingers all knew it's meaning and "if" hearing it, meant that someone (churchly) was "knocking at the door" (serious threat for all within) So everyone "pulled up the pants" and pretended to be talking about the whether and stuff so to speak. (quite important, back then) So when single dirty fuckers get up too all sorts of naughty shit,(Rod* love you) is that not considered kinks and different than vanilla? Mado Tara xx

Thinking I had a green machine then. Just a wee little kiddy and girls had germs. But we mention vanilla in our profile, and since joining we have only played with single men. Really we still consider ourselves as somewhat vanilla because we have not played with couples yet. Never thought of it as being a measure of kinks though.

I think over time the meaning and suggestion in certain words changes. It's all very subjective isn't it cause really it depends on your level of knowledge, experience and degree of kink. What's vanilla to one won't be to another. - Posted from rhpmobile

What MzB said about what is vanilla to some may not be to others is so true. I think adopting the position of being "vanilla on the outside with a naughty chocolate center" is good. Could be a good position to be in as you can always ratchet it up a notch if the situation is right, or take it down a peg if you want to. Not too hardcore yet nice and "naughtily vanillary" is attractive. Sort of like showing up on a green bicycle to a party, yet naked with Tara in the front basket! X Obi1

I have never heard that explanation before Mado. I consider lots of swingers to be vanilla, as in they just have plain old standard sex, They just happen to do it in a group or swap with partners.

What is the point of using the word vanilla, if it has no fixed bearing? Can understand ...what's kink to one won't be to another. So wouldn't straying from plain old sex, still just be classed as getting kinky. Or has vanilla just become the new word for kinks? Or have you kinky fuckers just pinched it.

I swear, that bending Tara over the bath tub, placing a funnel in her bum and pouring milk in was purely as remedy too an accident with chilli oil in the lube. Once when we were having plain old standard sex, or twice maybe.

Well Mado, there are a few different ways to use it. You can say that people that are not into the scene such as swinging or group sex and are just into one on one traditional relationships are vanilla. And there is vanilla sex. So it is your base or your basic sex before you add on the spice. I would say vanilla sex is what is accepted as main stream sex that people have. So swingers who are into the scene can have vanilla sex. Capisce?
