Wau Wau Sisters get naked.

February 08 2013

Tonight i headed into town with a Bakery Buddy and went to the Fringe Festival. Perth's Fringe festival is one of the best in the world now. It's all about quirky shows that while not appealing to the masses so much, are loads of fun but left of centre. To night we all went and saw the Wau Wau Sisters. Nudity (with proper pubic hair), the music of John Lennon, sex jokes times 10, a little politics and acrobatics. Seriously... If you need to push Grand Ma over to get her tickets to this show.. Do so. I cried I laughed so much. I've also seen Mecronos and the Mermaids. Saturday from 6:00pm and great for children too.And Pretending Things are a Cock. Silly photos with a back story..All pretty cheap. All a little confronting. All worth trying at one level or another. There is still 2 weeks left of the Festival. Go and check something out.. If you've seen something, post it here.

This was pretty funny, But not worth the $20.This was illustrated when someone actually won the show finished. Everyone just sat there waiting for some more jokes or something. But the host just said "Why are you all still here?" I felt like saying "We're waiting for our monies worth".. ~laughs~It had a pretty good crowd there.

.. watching 2-3 shows a night. Then each morning he does a fairly comprehensive review on the Breakfast show. This morning one of the show's he reviewed was "Bane". This is a one man (plus guitarist) gangsta action show. That's film noir in style.Daniel, the reviewer got so excited about it he was lost for words. Joe Bone's various voices and Ben Row's music are evidently brilliant. It has 4 nights to run, I'll be breaking people's arms to company me. So that when i tell other people about how good (I expect) it was.@sensory_fun - You find Bogans in Northbridge if you got to Rosei O'Gradys, which was were the bingo was. I suspect The Elephant and Wheel Barrow is also a good viewing place. As we all know, the rest of Northbridge is supper cool. ~smiles~

Go out the fuck and see it. One day this bloke will be huge and you can say you caught him when he was doing quirky weird stuff. What I got was a bloke in a greatcoat doing a Chicago gangster story. It's a one man act. but you think you've just seen a movie. His mate on guitar adds the last 10% that makes the show work extra well. I went by my self and that was ok as no one I know will be able to rib me about how much I laughed. The show is funny as fuck. It's on for 2 more nights at 8pm. Get on to the Fringeworld Web sight and buy your self a ticket. $25I came out and wandered over to the bar and had a beer. At which point I was found by some friends. Who were off to see Candice McQueen. When I wandered over to see them into The Spiegle tent, the woman at the door said she had an unused ticket. So I got in for free. What i got was a 45 year old drag queen talking about how she'd been alive for centuries and all the people she'd fucked or blown. Not bad. Quite a few laughs, but not great. She was also accompanied by a single guitar player. The music they had written/re-written to accompany this cabaret act was actually very good in places. When the he/she and the guitar player both sang together, outstanding. Worth seeing for the music I think, but the show is only really "a pass".Nah, go and see Bane.
