  The fact that I'm not celebrating. Refreshing. First time in 20 years. Yay me. Buy myself some choccys and some bubbles. Nice dinner......Maybe if I'm feeling lucky I'll get to fuck myself later. I'm not sure about the later, l may play hard to get........

  Worked, traded some people, chilled the afternoon and my plan is to sit back watch Star Wars and carb up for tomorrow mornings run. Oh and have my right hand next to me ;)

  I have the house all to myself this week so it's just me, the dog and the two cats! Housework, laundry and, if I'm really lucky, I might even put on some soft music and do the tango over some clothes as I lovingly lay them on my ironing board with my iron. And all this after I've finished at radio tonight!

  I have this really cute friend. ( not girlfriend , she's too young ) who I like ( as a friend ) who last week asked me what I was doing for Valentine's Day. I said I didn't know because I didn't ?. Then I asked her what she was doing. Nothing ? OK , let's have lunch at the Thai . So today that's what we did. Lunch at the local Thai with a nice bottle of red wine and a single red rose just to make it nice, and that's it.. A nice lunch with a nice friend , drop her off home then home myself to get ready for work..

  Spent the day at the nudist beach with a champagne picnic. There were a few couples there also, it was a warm breezy day and we finished off with a dip in the ocean. First Valentines day I have spent with a partner in years, it was lovely.

  I initially agreed to catch up with a long-standing fwb earlier this week however work came up and.all bets are off. I didn't finish work til close to 10pm and took train home quite late. Was too tired to even think of valentines day until I saw all these couples of all ages on the platform waiting for the train home. The ladies in their special night wear and clutching the single stemmed red roses. The men were happy. Both were happy. It was nice to see romance in the air. Felt both pleased for them and a bit sad for myself as I was a bit jealous that they both got to spend time spoiling each other. sometimes I wish somebody would look after me specially after a long hard day of work. A glass of red shared between someone would be nice. Then I shake myself to reality that there is just so many things I need to give up to be in a relationship. At this point in my life, I can't sustain a relationship due to work n kids. The reality brings me back to earth and think valentines day is just like any other day. One day, when I'm ready and when the suitable person shows up willing to take me on, maybe I'll be holding a rose like those women. For now, my priorities are elsewhere so I'm not so sorry for being alone. Happy valentines day to all the lovers out there.

  I am soo happy for you. You are such a good human being and yoi deserve all the love and kindness not just from your partner, but all your friends all over the country. We are all better off for knowing a good generous kind woman like yourself. Hope dinner went well and more of it to come. Hoping to see you again when I get thrown to Perth for a work trip.
