What does your bedroom look like?

January 19 2013

Is your bedroom a space that is totally private, does the colour and decor reflect your personality or does it constantly change depending on your mood,? I recently moved from my studio back into my house and I am redecorating .The colour scheme is white and dark blue, like Van Goghs ''Starry Starry Night''.It is a cool space during the day and warm at night. Totally different from my studio and yes sometimes I do share my bedroom.

Mahogany bed and night stands. Everything else is a calming neutral. The bedding, the walls, even the floor tiles. I get all the visual stimulation I need from my huge floor-to-ceiling mirrored wardrobe.

Redwood bedroom suite with 2 side tables.... tele (yeah yeah bad feng shui - think thats why i sleep badly)   My color is red, so the doona, lamps etc... are all shades of...   My nieces (5 & 7) when bored one weekend made me a canvas print (2x4 - that would be feet..) of... well i dont know what you would call it... abstract? Lots of bright beautiful colors, no structure, lots of blots, finger painting of sorts...   I love it so hangs proudly over my bed   (I do love the white & navy blue colour scheme...)

Gave up the master br for my two girls to use, so mine's almost a shoebox. QS bed, side drawers, tallboy with TV on top, clothes on a couple of portable racks, and shelving full to the ceiling with unbuilt model kits.

My bedroom is my escape...antique French oak bed (the pelmet on top has been known to fall off and land on my head during times of extreme action...bit of a passion killer that haha), French armoire to hide my mega Mac ( good for watching...umm documentaries), painted screen from which various bras and frilly things hang, fairy lights and the bane of every man's life....a million cushions and pillows. It's bliss :)- Posted from rhpmobile

King size bed - at 5'2" I can sleep whichever way up and still not touch the sides ... 3 framed lithograph prints of St peters, Florence Duomo and Pisa campinale, colourful patterned doona cover, dressing table/ bed side table with hand painted ceramic knobs (majolica from Italy) - each knob has a different colourful pattern (I like pretty knobs) and my suitcase in the corner for my 'little holidays'. Oh, and a mouse trap in the corner, I will get you yet you little turd.

Colour a dusty rose with dark brown purple carpet my bed is a queen-size with always different colour bed linen. I like a clean fresh linen smelling bed, a candle and a rose, when they are in bloom, from my garden in a vase. My bedroom is my sanctuary for rest, reading and even meeting friend. I talk better when in my bed. At the moment I have a TV in my bedroom, it’s my sons it will stay until he picks it up. I like my bedroom, I sleep very well, I feel safe.

I house sit. So I’ve got the 1st child’s bedroom. It was bright yellow with fluorescent racing car stickers on the ceiling when I moved in. So I've run with the theme.Along one wall is a cube, floor to ceiling shelving unit with all my most precious personal stuff. About 250 CDs, 100 LPs, my DVD collection all my books and about 200 boardgames. The light fitting is a brightly coloured child’s Bi-Plane and to stick with the theme, I've hung a 1:32nd scale Airfix Beaufighter that an Ex gave me as a Xmas present 20 odd years ago. The room is not big enough for a normal double bed. So I've made a special "single and a bit" just big enough to share if need be.It's a real love nest. ~smiles~

I don't know about others but I have this thing seeing a perfectly made bed with Hospital corners, European Pillows and cute little pillows...yes I make my bed like that daily... can't stand hoping in an made bed...unless it's a made messy sex bed!!! I also have sitting on my bed a musical Teddy Bear my mum gave me for my 16th...she's just special to me...- Posted from rhpmobile

A little shabby, a little French, a little beach house. Casual glamour. Mostly white, hints of pink and turquoise. Sprinklings of bling. Yummy king bed with a generous scattering of cushions and pillows. My haven x

Redecorating at the moment. But I have pale green walls and I always have vibrant bed covers. Reds, crimsons, reds, blues, and greens. I love colour.

Is a place that I rest and play....King size bed is always a must....modern, simple and stylish.....a few paintings or pictures that change with the times and moods......and a king size White Rabbit bed cover ( got in a trip to Argentina)...This is one of my most indulgent possessions....incredible to rumble and tumble on top of when you are naked with company.....There is few things more sensual and erotic than feeling soft fur on your skin :) :) A shame that it is too hot for summer :) :)

Now there is just me....my current partner only sees the room as somewhere to sleep and we dont live together anyway... I can do what I like with my room. Currently white quilt cover with pale pink roses, feather doona and feather pillows, cream and lace curtains, cream walls, a mixture of white antique and oak wood furniture. All solid, nothing dainty. Next week might be different as I am planning on making quilt covers that match my linen as I can not find any that I like (ivory, beige and old gold)

My Bedroom is a work in progress..I'm limited on what I can do as I'm renting... On my Left side as I walk in the room is a 3 door Mirrored wardrobe...To my right is my Queensize wraught iron bed ,wood posts.. a good comfortable Mattress draws either side of the bed . candles jewellery box, and vases with dried grasses . . I'm slowly getting it to reflect me but it's taking time..I want to hang a Picture and have a statue of Lovers entwined very sensual ... What stands out the most is the Powerful energies within this room. it's very Sensual Relaxing. .everything else is the icing..:)Enjoy Lu :)
