Does wanking count? It has been a slow year :) I am noticing I do not get an honorable mention in your list. I guess my pics don't inspire. Haha. DGT, I have actaully heard that skipping is quite a work out. I wil have to try, but in the comfort of my own home, because watching a grown man skip can not be good for my chances of breaking out of this slump! I will be following this thread, and taking notes...fucking genes

i am tipping there would be a lot of gym equipment based accidents every time you entered a gym funloving, as guys would be dropping weights on their feet and running off treadmills etc every time they saw you. not to mention tripping over their own tongues.

There seems to be a lot of bullshit out there these days...so shoveling shit seems to help. You know how it works...read the news with my coffee in the morning, shovel through the shit. Wander around the business world...lots of activity there. Read the latest in tax reform in the evenings for that "power burn" workout at the end of the day. Occasionally I can but find some random bullshit to throw around too....at people, on forums, you know the kind.|I also like to shovel stuff into my mouth...not shit food but good food. I also eat a lot of shit but that's not my fault...I only do that until I find out the one that is serving it is full of it then cut it out of my diet. |Oh and crawling on your knees helps too, like when you are begging women for sex...the when you catch one you seem to loose a few kilos of useless money out of your wallet entertaining them.|You have to maintain a healthy balance to maintain a healthy lifestyle you know.

Quoting 'bornagain_evil'i am tipping there would be a lot of gym equipment based accidents every time you entered a gym funloving, as guys would be dropping weights on their feet and running off treadmills etc every time they saw you. not to mention tripping over their own tongues. I used to go to a gym...lasted around 3 sessions! Got sick of the guys staring at me when I was running on the treadmill...I got so self conscience about myself! I was there to try and get fit...not to be stared at! And the women? I actually turned to a couple and said..."Yes, they are real"....pffttttt! xFunlovingx

I was watching the Legends game in AFL the other night (the one that raises money for mens prostrate cancer) and saw them interview Wayne Carey! You couldn't half tell he had botox done to him...there was no movement at all in his eyebrow/forehead area! I didn't listen to a word he said as I was willing his face to move! I am all for ageing gracefully...botox is just so unnatural! xFunlovingx

Part one Genetics, most of my maternal family are short, round people. l Part two The food I eat and at this time of year that includes roasts with all the trimmings, including gravy made from the pan juices and cheese sauce on the broccoli, those delicious winter puddings...chocolate self sauceing, golden syrup dumplings and not to forget the once a month chocolate binge and the night raid on the icecream container. Not a lettuce leaf to be seen. l Part three Procrastination. Never do today what can be put off for anothter day...and that includes excersize.

I don't believe in deprivation, so I'd never diet, but I eat anything I want to as long as I burn it off..I do enough yoga, spin classes, weights, running, pilates to balance out the ice-cream tub, pizza, cheese, choccy habits.

Ever since I was a kid I was always into something. You name it I had a go at it, I was one of them kids that had to be doing something all the time. Football, Cricket, Marathons, High and Long jumping, Swiiming , Surfing.. through primary and high school and into teens. Then played grade level Rugby League til I was 34.. Slowed down abit since but still like to run , walk , light weights most days to keep in shape. Mrs JJ uses a running machine and light weights.

We decided to get fit about 2 years ago. Starting out we did everything from going to the gym, running, walking, swimming etc for about a year and got great results however while on holidays in the states we recently we came across an at home work out called P90X by Beachbody.com. Its changed our lives and gave us outstanding results beyond our expectations, take a look at our pics. Now we may not be super defined or ripped but we are extremely flexible, cardio fit, strong and can run/swim/bike in competitive triathlon times. It comes with a 3 stage eating guide that matches the 90 day fitness program. For us it worked because we could do it from home with little more then a Power Tower, some dumbells and yoga mats. If you cant afford a Power Tower ($349 from Sports Power) then get a chin up bar and some perfect push ups (Mens Health Magazine do them in a pack from Big W for $49.95). The most important tip we can share with you is that fitness has to be a lifestyle choice incorporating a balanced diet, regular exercise, stable sleeping patterns and a positive outlook on life.Hope this helps :-)

Mr O here....I think it's obvious from our pics we need to do more....but genes and age do have some say in it! As an example, I've just finished 3 months of hard gym work - going lunch time and most evenings to "RPM", "Bodypump", plus some "Nautilus training" - and I ALWAY put heart and soul into it - and in all that time I only lost 3kg. My BMI stayed around 30, which is classed as obese. I'm now going through a spell of extreme procrastination as a result! lol No doubt I'll get my motivation back, but I guess for now people will have to like us for our personality ;)

Quoting 'beachbody' P90X by Beachbody.com. fitness has to be a lifestyle choice incorporating a balanced diet, regular exercise, stable sleeping patterns and a positive outlook on life. Beachbody.com have some great workout DVDs... I'm a Turbo Jam girl! As for stable sleeping patterns... well, that just about puts ALL of us parents OUT when it comes to living the perfect fitness lifestyle. I'm lucky to get 2-3hrs of sleep a night thanks to my nightowl children. (MRS)

Everyone was busy....jumping to conclusions, flying off the handle, beating around the bush, running down the boss, going around in circles, dragging their feet, flapping their jaws dodging responsibility, passing the buck, climbing the ladder, wading through paperwork, pulling strings, shooting the breeze, throwing their weight around, stretching the truth, bending the rules, pushing their luck, screwing around, shuffling papers, and chasing rainbows.Swinging a flogger is much less strenuous.

I guess it's quicker than walking and more fun than jogging... skip skip skiptamaloo skip skip skiptamaloo.... JG you may need to steer clear of the Jewish community and practicing Muslims as you skip for pork - i read somewhere that they can smell pork on pork eaters?! Smelly and unclean like piggies! Their loss I say, my life just wouldn't be the same without bacon om nom nom Hooray for pigs! My shape these days is down to my toddler, boobs blew out three sizes at pregnancy, but only went back one (unfortunately similar story for the rest of me too, goddammit!).? Was always sporty before with mates, but 6 months back at the gym with bub, ended up being spent 2 weeks there, crèche infects my child, 2 weeks home and repeat for 6 months...did my head in. Then tried park with mates, long walks didn’t seem to appeal to our bubs/toddlers so much... so now the only exercise i get is carrying the cases of champagne home (or to a fellow mummy mates) from the shops and lifting each bottle over and over... l still get the reward, i just don't do the workout/earn it part anymore...

You may keep on your tie ;) | I am house broken of couse and was actually planning on leaving the tie at home. I thought Mrs. P might prefer it if I brought my training collar and lead...then she can put me through my paces. I can heel, sit, stay and the best of all...come on command. Too, I will even show her those spots where she can rub me and my legs start jumping around out of control. | Besides, the shovel might just come in handy... | ...when it's time to bury the bone. | | Hey, just curious...does she like both the front and back yard when I dig in and bury it?

Gyms hold no appeal for me- why would i want to run on the spot if the scenery won't change (only so long you can stare at one sweaty guy for... even if he is hot)So i got a job where I have to walk a minimum 15km's a day, rain, hail or shine.Kicks the metabolism into gear and is toning the legs and stomach so well. now to add weights and were all good.Did i also mention that its a great way to get a perve all day long

Ok so here's my 2 cents worth Having worked with a lot of fantastic clients to get them into the best shape of there lives, i can honestly say the most important factor in getting that "BOD" you want is changing the way you eat..A lot of people that do want to lose weight go into a frenzy and hit the gym hard 5-6 times a week going all out neglecting the most important thing...your metabolism. Finally they get frustrated that nothing is changing and they end up burnt out.Unfortunately in Australia our average meal in take per day is quite low..a lot of my clients were on 1-2 meals a day, this leads to an incredibly slow metabolism and you guessed it weight being put on.I know your going to think im crazy now and its quite cliche but the more you eat "of the correct foods" the more weight your going to lose..speed up your metabolism by introducing smaller more frequent meals into your diet and you'll notice a massive difference in your body even without exercising. Once you've got that part under control you'll be ready to hit the gym, hopefully to further some already great results...Best of luckRockyP.S ET if you'd like any help or ideas please feel free to message me

Yep. I do love my spin classes. How could I possibly avoid all that lycra? I was doing 5 spin classes a week at one stage but then decided it was competing with my weight training and I was getting no where... time to bulk up... which I did by not doing any cardio... pretty silly really.... so I've been on sebatical... a diet for 4 months... I'm pretty lean at the moment so I'll start weight training again when I can stand to get out of bed again before 7.. I've already started spin classes again.... three a week.I guess it doesn't matter much what you do... but I've been unhealthy enough at times that I feel like a lazy root... and I dont like that. I like being able to root without running short of breathe... I guess cardio training is essential if you sit on your bum all day for a job... If I was a tradesman, I'd probably get enough exercise just working.HugsStalky

Geez, I don't know boys, I've done a bit of research into this event. There's a lot of talk about Basic Drills, a Kettle Bell Snatch and some kind of Kettle Bell Sots Press that somehow involves a "full squat" ... . I also looked into what is commonly referred to as the Kettle Bell Bottom-Up Clean (in hang position) ... WTF??? . Ya know Meeks, I can kinda see the Push Press and the Bent-Over Row having a fair bit of appeal for me, but I think I've learnt enough now to know that any spectators are gonna need a whole lot more than salt & vinegar chips to get through this party!!! They may be in need of that watermelon by the time they're finished. . And yes Stalky, sugary whipped cream ... for energy of course

ok..So I am 154cm tall and weigh 44-45 kgs.. I dont have scales in my home and just use my skinny jeans as my guide. I did get on the scales the other day at they claim I amm 44.5kgs. Now by so called standards I am suppose to weigh approx 54 kgs.. To me I would be totally DUMPY looking ..feel heavy and slow and unable to keep up with my child. I am my weight as I feel great n have heaps of energy. One should not go by doctors weight guides..Just know yourself and be happy n be motivated everyday. Have a reg partner now, so keeping toned is much easier and more fun.. huggies sweetp <<<< wonders if my post will bring a new debate..lolz

My highest weight was 140kgs.... since i'm only 165 cm's, I was morbidly obese, despte the fact I was managing to keep up with the kids I taught as a Drama teacher, I was soooooooo not happy.... In 2009 I had a lapband fitted, and the weight started coming off immediately.... I think I shifted 17kgs in the first 6 weeks.... modified diet to allow the band time to settle in it's position around my tummy, and change my eating habits. I've come down from a size 26/28 to a size 18/20, but with some illness in the last year, my surgeon removed my lap band port, and i'm maintaining now, untill he can reinsert the port and I can get fluid back into the band, to help me restrict my eating again. I'm an emotional eater.... and still am...but now instead of eating for a solid 2 hours, I go train at the gym. instead of having crepe paper skin hanging off me, I have lovely firm muscles, and as I train them, I reduce the amoun of fat I have on my body and my skin has time to slowly go back to where it is supposed to be.... I still have bingo lady wings, but they are getting smaller. I still have a big arse and a tummy I wish I could get liposuction on, or a tummy tuck, cause then i reckon I'd be a size 16 or less.... but I'm slowly accepting that I am who I am. The gym has worked for me, because I have a great friend who goes with me and encourages me to keep on going, even when he's the only guy who talks to me. Gym's are not about socialising.... it's about working out, Gym Freaks as people call them, are there to do something specific for themselves. I really find it annoying when people who don't go to gyms call them self obssesed, the fact is, I get in the same weight lifting mind set as they do. So what if a guy wants to work out and have a nice body. Isn't that his choice, just as it's a chicks choice to do what she does. Studies show that anerobic exercise is a much more efficent way to help control weigght and stay completely healthy. Cardio combined with strenght and flexibity workouts train the muscles to use the available energy they have, stave off injuries and help your metabolism burn more efficently. I guess I'm saying, if you don't do it, don't knock it. it works for some, not for others... what right do others have to knock the choices of others. We are who we are, right.... so good on everyone for doing what they do, but don't knock others for them doing something you don't personally do.... personal choices are just that... up to the person. (that goes for eople who don't like fat chicks too.... i've accepted not all blokes like bigger chicks... their loss cause I'm awesome...)

Quoting 'Welshnsweetp' ok..So I am 154cm tall and weigh 44-45 kgs.. Now by so called standards I am suppose to weigh approx 54 kgs.. I am 165cms tall and weigh 64kgs (working on getting back to my pre-pregnancy weight of 56kgs)... Apparantly, I am what is classed as OVERWEIGHT. I dont LOOK overweight at this size, I fit into a size 10... which is strange, since the "average" size of women today is size 12-14! WTF??? (MRS)

Honestly, I'm surprised more people aren't doing it. Aside from surfing, it is the only sport I know of that combines cardio and weight training while having colossal amounts of fun... And it's got the rub on surfing because you work on your flexibility too. When the weather isn't so miserable (and the air so cold I can't breathe) I go running with a group. Before I went on hiatus I was able to run 5km in 30 minutes, and 8km in 50 (I was stoked!). I would like to go rock climbing regularly (really good cross-training for pole dancing!) but it is a logistics and money thing. At the beginning of this year I gave up trying to lose weight - I eat what I want when I want, and if I don't want to exercise I don't bother. The key for me is portion size - I will eat what is on my plate; so if I halve the amount, I eat less no dramas. I also have to be careful how much caffeine I consume. Am currently holding steady at one coffee (or caffeinated soft-drink) per day. Incidentally, since doing that I have lost weight, and for the first time in my life I've gone down in cup size (this is huge for me cause I hate my boobs and am planning a reduction for my 30th birthday present to myself). Sometimes the best thing you can do is not try so hard...Cheers,MS(the female half)

all this exercise sounds like so much hard work!..........we found that eating the right sorts of food and cutting down (not out) the amount of added sugar and salt, we were able to maintain our weight and improve our health........ we eat a 'living' diet.....lots of fruit, lots of vegetables, lots of poultry, fish and red meat, all in generous servings......and stay away from 'manufactured' or 'processed' foods that are just vehicles to deliver an excess of salt, sugar, flavor enhancers and preservatives to those who enjoy them.......if we can make a dish using naturally found ingredients, then its in the pot and on the table......i love Mexican, and Indian curries....Shels into pasta and salads........and beers, spirits and red wines...... we made no sacrifices and certainly don't starve........the size of our servings are the same, if not larger, than ever......but its the lack of 'added' sugars and salts etc that make the biggest difference...both promote weight gain and/or fluid retention, so cutting them out is a simple but great idea.......Shels 50, and a size 8/9......I'm 48 and proud of my flat stomach. we arent supermodels or any such thing, but are simply enjoying a healthy and energetic middle age, where nothing is too much effort, as we have energy to spare........and we get to keep up with our grandkids...added bonus!

never used to have to do anything to keep in shape. but a year and a half ago i moved to a country town in the middle of nowhere cause of the awesome pay but since there was nothing to do i took up drinking and put on 20 kgs (which when you weigh 65kg's originally is a lot). by the time i got up to 85kg was still in the same size pants but they were getting pretty tight.back down to 75kg at the moment, which i have achieved by just playing guitar and bass, doing everyday things and trying to keep busy and eating one meal a day most days. i prefer deprivation to exercise. working out is not something i get into, activities that involve exertion (sex and playing guitar, bass) but are fun is the only kinda exercise i like.moral of the story tho is that you should avoid using alcohol regularly since alcohol metabolizes into sugars and sugars unless used as energy become fat

1) I do not eat take-away or anything overly processed. Ever. Not even sometimes. That shit can stay well away from my temple!2) I eat -right-. I cook all my meals using fresh, seasonal produce. I include all the major food groups but place an empahasis on fresh fruit and vegtables. It's healthy! And it tastes great! :)3) I begin most mornings with yoga sretching to promote flexibility, and then -the only- notable exercise I do is what I call "The 3 song wonder-workout". You get naked, put on 3 songs, and work up a sweat! It's especially satisfying in front of a mirror because you can really perfect your dancing technique!:)

Mr ready is dieting...basically a semi-vegetarian version of the Atkins diet with a lot of Ryvita (essentially little more than indigestable fibre), the carbs in his diet are almost non-existent. He also walks to & from Uni which is about 30-50 km a week carrying about 10 kg and does a weights workout 2-3 times a week. Currently losing about 2 kg a month. Wants to be at 100 kg by December and 95 kg by March of next year.Mrs ready walks about the same distance and takes care of our son. She also does weights periodically. She wants to lose the last of the weight from a pregnancy. We are both intent on achieving "Dishy & Yummy" status by the new year.We can neither afford nor find the time for gym. However watching what you eat...and the quantities eaten as well as exercising enough to actually burn the undesired weight. A friend elsewhere lost 20 kg in 6 months by doing just this. We avoid junk food like the plague. Farmers Markets are an absolute boon...the food is fresher and the veggies are even cheaper and more flavoursome than the stale stuff in the supermarkets.

its amazing how many people believe exercise will keep you slim...its just not so...we are overweight because of what we put in our mouths, not because of lack of physical exertion...exercise keeps you firm, food makes you fat. greed makes you fat, lack of discipline makes you fat...drugs dont make people fat, nor do 'genes'.........its only ever going to be food that does that............if we all ate thoughtfully and carefully, then none of us would be overweight...simple really....

I don't quite see it the same as you do obviously and it is -NOT- that simple. Obesity, for a large majority of people is comparable to annorexia nervosa - It is a mental compulsion regarding food. These people manifest this with a compulsion to eat, or it might be a need to self-soothe by eating fatty foods. Things are never so black and white. Some people struggle with an obesity problem for life, and the heart-breaking ramifications of such a disease involve a shattering of self esteem by the public. I know, I was bullied in high school, so were larger or 'fat' people because they were percieved as 'wrong', 'lazy', or that they had 'no discipline' and were literally made to feel worthless by others everyday. It can be a life-long struggle. I just want you to understand that. :) Quoting 'mikeandshel' its amazing how many people believe exercise will keep you slim...its just not so...we are overweight because of what we put in our mouths, not because of lack of physical exertion...exercise keeps you firm, food makes you fat. greed makes you fat, lack of discipline makes you fat...drugs dont make people fat, nor do 'genes'.........its only ever going to be food that does that............if we all ate thoughtfully and carefully, then none of us would be overweight...simple really....

I'm in agreement with the "eat less and exercise more" line of thought. That's exactly what we are doing and I'm losing about half a kilo a week....and looking all the better for it.The easiest, simplest and cheapest exercise is walking. We are walking about 30 km a week and by next week that should be up to about 50 km. No death marches, I just live 5 km from Uni and walk to & from classes and tutorials. If you engage in vigorous exercise for an hour & a half most days of the week (NB: this equates to a 45 min walk in the morning and evening) you might just find that you will achieve what you want.

(exercise can for some, be nothing more than the physical job they have, or the strenuous activities they pursue for enjoyment)... we dont add exercise, as we are both already extremely active in our day to day lives.......but if we chose to shove any old thing into our gobs, then i suppose it would only ever end up with one or both of us as overweight......

I started trying to shed a bit of excess flab a couple of years ago, mostly with running & cycling. Has been a limited success, I am only about 5KG lighter, however my cardiovascular fitness & endurance has improved quite dramatically. When I started out, I could only run about 200M, then had to walk, my resting pulse was about 70. I now run 100KM or so each month, and cycle the same, my resting pulse is below 50, and I am planning to do a half marathon soon, probably a marathon next year. I tried Optifast yaers ago, it is not bad for rapidly shedding a few KG, however it just seems to come back
