there is always something going on on the city around Federation Square. I think the Good Food Festival is running atm so you will probably good eats going on there. Take the time to wander the streets through the laneways as there are some awesome little boutique shops, restaurants and bars.

However I may be biased An hour from the CBD with loads of wineries, restaurants, magnificent golf courses, micro breweries and gorgeous beaches. Peninsula Hot Springs is a must for a total pampering.

Choc-o-holic. A trip to the cake shops on the main st of St Kilda on Ackland St. The displays out the front are amazing. Enjoying selected cake with a coffee then walking it off strolling along St Kilda beach. Hey its about as good a beach as it gets in Melbourne unless you drive to Mornington or Torquay. Food - Italian at Lygon st, Vietnamese at Richmond, Cafes on Brunswick st and Southbank Markets - Queen Vic Markets Sports mad Melbourne - Seeing a packed AFL game at the "G" (MCG) like Collingwod v Carlton. Australian Open tennis. Park - Botanic Gardens Wineries - take a drive out to Yarra valley for lots of cool climate wineries or the Yarra Valley Chocolate. Lots of nice National parks in the area as well. Cheers, W.
