Here's a recent article I read that might surprise you. "This week, a British t-shirt company added to the piles of academic research outlining the benefits of monochrome dressing. In a survey, the company asked 1000 people which colours they associated with a mixture of personality traits. The results saw black soar in every positive category, making it the hue most associated with sexiness, intelligence and confidence. Though, here’s where it got a bit interesting – when it comes to first dates and the colour perceived most attractive on the opposite sex, 66% of women prefer their men in black but 56% of men wanted to see women in red. Red was also perceived as the most arrogant shade, with pink being voted the “least intelligent” colour. Oh, and hot tip: When it comes to a first date, never wear brown or orange – they were the least popular colours in the survey for both sexes, scoring poorly in every category. This new research has been backed up by the University of Liverpool and Charles University in Prague, which found that red and black were the colours most associated with attractiveness." After reading the above will you be changing the colours you choose to wear? I looked in my wardrobe and was surprised that most of my clothes are predominantly black, followed by red, then blue. I also had a lot of browns for the days I didn't want to dress to impress. What colour do you wear the most and how does it make you feel? LG

    I have a lot of black for winter, white for hotter months but I love shades of greens and purples

    Predominantly my clothes are blue, red and black but I also have purple, white, khaki and brown. I find the khaki and brown are my weekend bumming around clothes :). I am not, and never have been, attracted to pink. orange or yellow.

    Don't mind a bit of black, love purple ! Have quite a collection of purple shirts, I like red and orange too, orange likes my complexion but sadly have nothing worthwhile in orange at the moment since the demise of my favourite orange shirt. Colour is hard to buy for guys, so conservative !

    I have always thought I feel my sexiest wearing black, about 70% of my wardrobe is black with splashes of colour with some special dresses. Last week I bought home a few new items and not realising until I was home that I had bought BLACK again! I used to want to fight it and choose other colours but obviously it is who I am and I want to feel good! So I just go with it :) - Posted from rhpmobile

    Majority of my going out clothes are black. Pants,tops, skirts and dresses. But I like the deep purple, or royal blue's combined with black.They are my 3 favorite colours to wear and Im comfortable in.( same goes for lingere)You wont see me in any red, yellow, orange or brown's. Unless its a summer floral dress. Or I might accesorise with brightly coloured bangles and earings etc. Generally Im in denim jeans and black or white tee's in the day though.

    The jewel colours suit me best emerald green, sapphire blue and amethyst purple. Have the classic black dresses in wardrobe and white t-shirts are fresh and make you look healthy.

    Quoting 'Wet_Paint' Don't mind a bit of black, love purple ! Met two men who wore dark purple shirts to our first dates, and they both looked amazing! I think aubergine is a very underrated colour. Since my skin has a yellow undertone, autumn and jewel tones suit me best. I especially love burgundy and teal, but also wear a lot of purple, burnt orange and tomato red. Base colours like bright red, yellow and blue make me look quite ill. I try to stay away from black, but sadly on the day of the M&G the only sexy dress that fit was just that...

    I used to have a whole wardrobe of black clothes...since Ive been single Ive been buying lots of brightly coloured dresses. Red, pink, yellow, orange, purple, blue, multicoloured....... I always seem to get more compliments when I wear blue so I would say thats my sexy colour?And Im not on some sort of spending spree........they cost me around $8 each from the OP shops Including a Yeojin Bae number

    My clothes are predominantly black and blues. But my favourite colour is red. Looked through my wardrobe and realised that I have lots of Orange, greens and yellow. Better start wearing them!

    Most of my going out stuff is black, it just looks good on.... Yellow, because I have nice olive skin, so any pastel colours look nice. But, my favs are purple and pink, because I like being a girly girl....💋

    I think if you wear something that suits your skin tone and personality, you are going to look sexy, because you know you look good. I have reddish hair and fair skin, and look utterly foul in black, so I don't wear it. A lot of people would think mustard or pumpkin a hideous colour, but they actually suit me so I wear them. Just wear something that suits you, and is appropriate for the occasion.

    lol I wore brown for the coffee date with my current fwb and well clearly that made no difference lol or maybe it was the teal accessories that changed the dynamics OR maybe it doesn't matter and chemistry is more striking than a layer of clothing 😋 - Posted from rhpmobile

    But I feel sexiest in black, red, white, emerald green or cobalt/electric blue. Because they compliment my skin and hair the best. Black flatters everything when I'm not feeling 100%, white shows off everything when I am and the other colours just scream 'look at me'! Interesting how different colours are perceived though, I definitely feel like I turn heads more often in red. Jess xx
