* Wishes for a Happy New Year & rewarding 2019 *

December 31 2018

For many as I type, New Year is upon them. That potentially magic or tragic moment as the clocks chime midnight and lips lock between people who were a moment ago, maybe only friends or even strangers. And that way they may stay but what a magical moment to be free of our usual constraints! Or maybe there is no magic moment and it a sad beginning to the year for too many. Some of us are sat at home revelling in the peace, we will join the count down briefly, and then get on with the new chances the year offers. By the time this is posted, that moment might be long past for many and maybe a shiny, new beginning is being sought or mourned already. More power to us all as we seek and find, and move forward to next year and the mystery of what that holds for us. Peachy, having a quiet night and hoping for a similar year! How about you?

    I've lived through 55 New Year's celebrations. There have been so many different moments, a favourite that stands out being the time I visited the Hay Street Mall in Perth with friends and had a ball kissing strangers and making a target of the police presence because we were young and silly. And they were free enough to join in and have a good laugh. I have a vague memory one year of a kiss that didn't end the way I'd thought, oops, lol. Ah well... Gawd', the time I shared a taxi home with the brother of a friend of hubby's, before we'd made the married deal permanent, with me being dropped off first, and the guy hit on me. That was a no way, get f'ed, f' off moment. The earliest memory was emptying out the cupboards of pots and pans to bash them together in celebration with the neighbourhood... Not long to go here now, hope you have/had a pan bashing, kissing good celebration to remember... Happy New Year, Peachy 🎆 🥂🎈
