Unfortunately I couldn't stay as long as I would have liked.....looked like the fun was just beginning when I had to leave. Hope to do it again sometime!

Maybe next time it will get organised at a proper venue where people can actually hear each other chat and it isn't Chinese New Year! xFunlovingx

and to put the face to some newbies as well.Yes SsexyElla, it was Chinese New Year, fireworks and everything outside on the balcony. It was very difficult to really chat with everyone.....two 3 seater couches seperated by a large coffee table sort of makes it impossible to hear anyone other than the person next to you. There is no doubt the Casino is a fine establishment if you love crowds....and waiting 1 1/4 hours to get a park.As a venue for Meet & Greet....welllll.I still prefer to have a smaller club-bar where you can acutally hear the conversation .Maybe I am just an old fogey

The venue was fine, it was great having an excuse to get dressed up, I think SexyElla did a great job organising, thanks Sweety! Funlover too! Ruby, maybe you can organise the next one, I'd be happy to come along again. It was great to put faces to names.

that a group of forumites decided to have a meet and greet dinner on Valentines Day.I think 11-12 of us rocked up to a great pub in Chapel Street and had a ball finally meeting the faces behind some of the very entertaining and funny posts that were the forums back then. From there, a core group of us then went on to organise and host many Meet & Greet Drinks nights. Most of them extremely successful ( average 80 or so attending ..0ver 100 to a couple of them) a couple not so successful. The not so successful ones were in a city location. We worked as a team, some in chat, some on the forums to let everyone know about the evenings....we contacted people on line and off line.We spent time before hand, meeting up at different locations to check out the venues, prices of drink & food, smoking areas , parking options etc.On the evening we all "worked" the room ensuring that no-one felt left out, introducing everyone and generally had a ball. The forums have changed, the people have changed, Meet & Greet drink nights have changed.
