  Interesting question. I don't relate it to anything in particular, but it excites me, rather than scaring me, if that makes sense. Most of us here are kinky anyway in one way or another, so it's just whatever that person is into, always different. Absolutely no preset ideas though on what they might mean, very individual

  So unfortunately the wider vanilla community would see a proper kink as a mental health issue. To me a proper kink is something that is required for the individual to "get off", to genuinely release. Mrs S is very lucky as my kink is MFM and BDSM.   That sprang to my mind was being restrained and dominated. But that's my little thing. It also conjures up some images of things I've seen that I wish I hadn't 😕 For some reason I seem to associate reading the words with acts involving implements.

  Quoting 'Summer_solstice' I just wonder what that person's understanding of the word is. I think the word kinky gets confused with fetish regularly as well, so I'll usually ask what someone means before I assume anything. For myself a kink would be anything that has my vanilla friends go "you like WHAT?" or better yet "No way is that even possible!" Interesting point regarding the two words fetish and kink. I think I may have been wrong with my definition, a fetish is something that you have to have to "get off"?..........or is it kink?......its definitely one of them. ......I think its fetish. Can you have a fetish for MFM?

  I don't think of one act. I normally wonder how kinky they are. I have found it has a broad meaning depending on the person. to some kinky is anal or rimming to Others it is needle play or knife play and others it can be a D/s relationship.

  StarJustice - no judgement at all! Just curious if there was an act that first popped in someone's head when they read the word. Does for me, and I wondered if I was alone - thankfully not :) For me - first thing I picture is for Men - anal play (esp receiving). Probably because if men are into D/s - they usually say that. And for women I think they want to be tied up. Couples I automatically think lots of toys.
