  There is a very specific reason there has been such a push for female soldiers overseas. The short version is; Isis is predominantly Muslim men, who's religious beliefs are that should they be killed by a female they are no longer going to blessed with their virgins let alone gifted the path to their so called heaven, as stated in the Quran. Female soldiers (the documentary I saw related to Syria) have caused Isis to run for the hills in fear of this consequence as it turns out these ladies are a bloody good shot. A number of women as young as 15, have left their education, families etc to join the armed forces in hope that Isis will realise this and step out, leaving them to live and create a better life without threat. Apparently it's one thing to be a terrorist and be killed in action by a male and the worst of all things to be a terrorist and be killed in action by a woman. Seems like a good plan that actually works and power to them.
