fave hotels in melbourne

September 27 2016

hi all ,hope your all well tonight ,what are peoples recommendations for fave hotels in melbourne cbd from personal experiences, in the king street area ,for us to have an easy walk to saints and sinners ,but defiantly not amongst the noisy bloody nightclubs and dickheads ,we stayed at a great valued one awhile back ,had everything we wanted ,loved it ,except , we got the added free bonus feature of a night club that started at 11 pm and went till 5 am ,and everything in the room was vibrating from the doof doof ,and apparently we had one of the quieter back rooms ,,grrrrrrr. We wanted to go to crown this time till we saw the price tag of $498 ,fu@#k me !!!!!Now looking at travelodge across the river , but thought some formats might have a good couple of suggestions also thanks loveliesmr b

Is The Pullman on the park. It's not on King Street, but it's right across the road from Jolimont Station which is less than 10 minutes from Southern Cross station by train and a tram stop right out front. I'vefound their service to be impeccable and their breakfasts are to die for. I've also stayed at the Travelodge just behind Southern Cross Station and it's not bad and reasonably priced.

they were really nice and convenient to Crown precinct, it was much the same as a Meriton Apartments - no noise that I noticed.

We have stayed at the Westin several times, great proximity to the city, theatre, shopping and only a short taxi ride to saints and sinners... Plus the wardrobe is covered in mirrors...😉

Oaks on Collins, or Clarion Suites Gateway. They are both nice, and walking distance to S&S.

Hey guys. WE are regular travellers to Melbourne. For a great bed (they are called MYBED) try the Sofitel in Collins St. Quiet end of town and you wont want to leave the bed. Great views as well. Restaurants abound. For something a little different try The Royce in St Kilda Rd. We stay there a lot. It is a classy boutique style hotel with a great restaurant below. Have fun. :)

Waterfront Apartments in docklands was awesome. Much better value than a room in a 5star hotel and if you want to play? Plenty of rooms for them to stay over. Everything is delivered to your door in melb so no need to leave for food or even put clothes on. Recharge then back into the fxxxing 😉 - Posted from rhpmobile

tbh the main reason we need a room ,is to get a sleepin past 8 am , if we have a real late one ,due to our son who loves to wake us up no matter what , lets just say lesson learnt the other weekend ,and the next day totally sucked ,lol. please dont worry ,about telling us ,how we should deal with him ,before you do ,as there are special circumstances behind it ,not for public knowledge ,

The Langham is expensive but lux. A great after party venue would be the Blackman on st kilda rd. And Oaks on Collins is a nice, close all rounder. - Posted from rhpmobile
