Sweet Transvestite..... From Rocky Horror Picture Show...... Sentimental reasons..... my Mum used to play the record (yeah I said it lol) every Saturday night when she'd play Scrabble and drink Tia Maria with friends and she'd grab me and we'd sing and dance like loons...... NOW, decades later, I put that song on and my three kids come running and we dance and sing like crazies...... I hope they do the same with their kids one day💖

Two Many To Mention! However, songs I’ve played and never got fed up of, are Billy Joel, “Scenes From An Italian Restaurant” off the excellent The Stranger album that I played to death in the 70’s back in Barnsley, and Boz Scaggs “What Can I Say” which again reminds me of leaving school and the wonderful UK summer of 1976 and beginning to be ME not just that dweeby kid at school! The power of music! M_D4

The Lowdown. What A lead up. A tune out song to a special place! Awesome voice, far better than the LIDO shuffle

So many, but ... Will get right into singing 'Rock the Casbah' by The Clash just for the groovy hell of it, doesn't matter where I am (supermarket last weekend most recently; how to embarrass your kid in one easy step).

I use to have many favourites, but now love so many genre's that l can't pick one. Also when you grow up listening to Neil Young many old favourites come to mind, however one song that remains with me is Gary Jules - Mad World, the melody, the words, the feelings and thoughts the song evokes had always amazed me. It also saddens me when l look at our world and wonder will we survive, other days the song gives hope & joy, coz sad times are behind me.

For us way to many from the 50s 60s 70s 80s and heavy blues off top of head would be Tin Soldier by Small Faces

Billy Jean - MJ For me that year represents a lot of firsts. It’s one of those songs that transports you back to the same time and place when you first heard it played. It still gets me up and dancing every time. He he he! Ohhhhhh!! RIP MJ ✌️

I've said it often enough. And, it's the greatest song of all time, (no discussion entered into)😁. May have mentioned that a few times too. R.I.P. Pete, R.I.P. Steve. Good thread Swing., this one shouldn't get you a minus one like. Mr. urn. .

..I definitely prefer Lido Shuffle over Lowdown. I have a great live version of it that kicks dick. Don't have one favourite song...but, rather favourites for my moods, I think. If I'm melancholy, then Bright Eyes, Eye in the Sky, or I can't tell you Why, are good.More than a Feeling, or Walhalla( a trancey techno tune from 17 years ago ) for uplifting.
