I hate that saying. It is just so condescending and revolting. I know kids who are 15 and mothers already (as was I) MILF? I dont think so.

I think there is a cougar search function on RHP. That maybe a good lace to look. On the other hand it probably just spits out women that are over a certain age.

Yes I do occassionally make a *nice* or *agreeable* comment. Read the forums a bit there is the odd one...or two Usually when mature adults are actually acting like mature adults instead of leading with thier crutch or thier mouth and to the best of my knowledge, whch is fairly considerable I must say, if we were all agreeable or pleasant or positve then what a boring place this would be. Hey i know,Lets all just agree with each other. Let no one else have a differing opinion. Now that would work NOT! You can stay proud of being a MILF. Me...I would rather be called a woman thanks...albeit a touch more mature than some. (and I dont mean in age)

Ms Cara is cool with being a MILF, but if you call her a mature lady the best you will get is a kick in the nuts. Don't think she is very keen on cougar either but I do like to tease her with it occasionally. Each to their own.OP good luck with getting your Christmas present. Might have more luck if you make it about the woman not you.Cheers,(Mr) Chick

My sexuality has absolutely nothng to do with wether or not I am a parent. l Those of you who are saying your wives are MILFS consider this. The OP is 32. I doubt of your wives are old enough to be his mother so therefore they are not who he is looking for. I have a child that age. In fact one older than the OP. It is my age group he must therefore be considering. MrCheeky your wife would have been 9 when the OP was born, MsCara is only 37...hardly a mature age and 5 when the OP was born Even XYZ at 42 was only ten...still too young. If he is looking for a "Cougar" that also counts out your wives....too young for him.

Yeah... who are you calling a cougar? hehehe But I have to agree with Fiona... you are too old at 32 to be saying or using either of those terms aren't you? To me that means you are probably looking for someone 50+ if you are after a cougar? Is that right daza? Otherwise you are after someone around your own age then... I don't think 10 years either way is anything out of the ordinary. xxMeeka

American pie is the first time i heard of the term. So yeah i associate it with horny teens, who dream about sex, more than they have it! lolz   Cougar to me (now i have no idea of either 'real'definition), is a lady like way older than you, but still sexy. But in some ways i can't help but think of Peggy Bundy from Married with Children, where she has the big hair, always made up, and spray painted cougar print pants...   But in saying that they are the 2 things that come to mind, for me being single again after 10 years at 35, i thank fuck for the popularity of the 2 terms, to me it means females over 30 to be in vogue is AWESOME!!!   10-20 years ago, were there cougars and milfs? Was the older more mature woman as sought after as they appear to be today

FIONABEE.... Do you EVER say anything positive or agreeable? Will you ever post something that isn't aggressive sounding?   Lighten up FFS   We would both have to agree with this! Normally when us young people use the term it is a huge compliment. If you are older, have children and are sexy then you are a milf, the end.

its us guys who decides who is a milf or who is a cougar isnt it? its actually meant as a compliment....having compliments shoved back in your face isnt very nice. the guys looking for an older woman, what does it matter what he calls them? milf=compliment ......cougar=compliment.....lady=compliment. ........ none of these thing are insulting, condescending or even remotely offensive. my wife loves that shes called 'MILF' or even 'GILF' . its gracious and polite to take a compliment and be pleased others see something nice or desirable isnt it? if hes 30ish, then perhaps hes saying he'd like to meet someone in their late 40' or even 50's.... a 'cougar' or 'milf' in his eyes. ffs i think Helen Mirrens a babe... and shes in her mid 60's....she'd be a cougar to me, wouldnt she?

Really? I'm no cougar? And I guess that just depends on how old you are now doesnt it sonny? For the OP I am indeed a cougar. Not for you though, I find 25 still a little wet behind the ears. l lovers4fun Grow up FFS. I am older, I have kids, some even older than you and yes some do still find me sexy. *Gasp* even some as young as you. You want positive comments, then read more than one topic. l Mikeandshel Maybe for you it is a compliment and that is fine after all it is each to their own but for me MILF = insult Cougar = insult. Lady...meh that is debatable I have heard the term used strictly as an insult as well. If I perceive something as a compliment then yes I would be gracious in accepting it. However, I do find these terms offensive and not a compliment so therefore it would stand to reason that I would not then accept them graciously now wouldnt it? After all, why should I be gracious about accepting what to me is an insult?

I agree with naughtychilli in that it's just another word/s used in an attempt to categorise *something*. As a teenager we called it *doing a Mrs Robinson* and that itself was categorised from a movie but back then *we* (teenagers/early 20s) knew what it referred to.Problem is that the definition isn't in fact definitive. Everyone has their own spin to it. Thus people have their own perception of what it means and can cause offense or being flattered! Personally whenever I see *cougar* the first thing that pops in to my mind is a sexually aggressive older woman and perhaps even a desperate one. Why? Have no idea! MILF I take as a compliment! My self esteem took a beating after having my kids due to big body changes so if that comment is directed at me, they are usually talking about physical appearance and its nice to know you are found attractive.Overall, I take it with a grain of salt, probably because I am not in to young guys. However, if a young guy said *I would give that old cow one* then I would be very offended. lolLet's face it, it's better than SILF... just a tshirt I saw on a New Zealander and had no idea what it meant until I googled it.. am figuring they had a good sense of humour.. damn I HOPE it was humour! lol

like i said, its guys who call older women cougars, milfs, lady or whatever. we dont get to choose or claim these things for ourselves. if a guy calls you MILF, it is indeed meant as a compliment, and it would be a rude and ungrateful person who would shove it back in his face. hes saying 'i think you're hot'. would women rather have them say 'i think you're feral'?? i think not. manners would be a polite 'thanks, but i dont agree'....and hey, if a guy is even 5 years younger and pays you a compliment of this sort, isnt that a good thing? isnt it an even bigger compliment if a guy 20 or even 30 years your junior says he finds you attractive? its not like hes even asking you out on a date....compliments are often given.....just because they can be..... sometimes theres not any further interest, just an urge to pay a compliment where one might be due.. even I'm guilty of this.....

I have seen and received some of the most thoughtful advice from Fiona on these forums. I have also seen her answer new peoples SAME farking questions OVER and OVER again just as graciously as the first time she heard it asked, when i can barely be bothered even opening the thread!   People seemed to be ok with that, as it was positive and agreeable.   But something Fiona is also good at which can initially come across as negative (as she can be a bit blunt at times lol) is challenging people to think about what they say. Not just be all yes yes or no coz... She'll push people to dig deep and back up what they say and why, until it is clear that they have infact thought about what they are saying and explored all areas of the subject (lots of threasds can be rather vague and open ended). Or dig and challenge others to stir up a discussion to talk it out and get more out of a topic. It is awesome to get people to think beyond their off teh cuff statements. It is very insightful and what makes these thread interesting and an even educational.   Without her I think we are gonna see alot of threads come and go with: yeah i agree, yeah what he said she said, i love, i love blah blah zzzz. With no one willing to really challenge the OP about what they have written and especially missing the one person with the guts to post what a lot of us are often thinking (because we can all see the reactions to follow and can't be bothered with receiving the abuse for trying to be realistic and thought provoking) ! It sucks to see the sheep gang up and belittle the one that is a little different, without stopping to think how it may affect the rest of us!       Fi you rock! I hope the people that said crap about you remain in the forums until they each die of boredom trying to be right about woteva and abusing anyone else who thinks different, or just challenges thinking

I dont think its fair to say that the term is condescending and make it sound like you are speaking for everyone, I have had the pleasure of being with a woman who is a fair few years older than me and she in fact enjoyed the term being used on her as it gives her a feeling of being pursued and wanted.

Hmmmm Daz maybe you should come to NZ, here the 'M' in MILF, as I prefer to see it, stands for 'Maori' lol. But honestly I thought Cougar stood for Mature woman preying on the young and MILF was the young preying on the mature woman. Either way I think everyone should accept it as a compliment I mean who's the lucky one at the end of the day? They both are! Yay settled, have some hot passionate, respectful, satisfying sex everyone and help the man out, my God he's attractive....he's polite....he's available and he knows what he wants! :)

I too dont like the word either! Now.... a Cougar is a mature woman who knows what she wants , a fit young man 18+ who wants to be shown what the word Sexy means and how to make a women feel sexy. He wants a Cougar who wants a Cub Meow... Purrr... Purrr the guy wants a realy Pussy , U Cougar haters R just jealous

what gets me/us is that women decide for themselves......that they are 'cougars' or 'milfs' or even 'gilfs'...........but dont get that its not really how it works...... when a guy says 'shes a milf' he's saying 'i'd do that'..........when a woman says it about herself....its just not right.

the urban dictionary defines a cougar as .......an older woman who frequents clubs in order to score with a much younger man. The cougar can be anyone from an overly surgically altered wind tunnell victim to an absolute sad and bloated old horn-meister, to a real hottie or milf.........etc etc etc.... most of the definitions are anything but complementary...this is number 1 at the moment.. it also defines a MILF as..........mothers, whether married, separated or divorced, that a male individual sees as physically attractive enough to want to have sexual intercourse with. the common theme is that they are attractive and desirable...........read the first 5 pages, and they all said good things.......       seems to us that only one of these is complementary......anyone can be a cougar, as its just describing a set of behaviours....they dont even need to be attractive......MILF however, describes the person, and their appearance....the condition is that the guy finds her to be attractive....which one would women prefer to be categorised as or with? I'd only be brave enough to call a woman a "MILF", as I too, see "cougar" as potentially insulting........

I have to admit that I like younger men too, but I am not a MILF. I'm assuming MILF means Mother, I am not a mother, so I don't like this term if it is in reference to me.. But I think it can be used loosely so to speak.. I can be very particular about this.. But I am also in that category of 'mature/older' woman, although I would much rather be a cougar, but I don't know if I am too young to be a cougar lol.. I honestly think its different for everyone.. Different words for different generations..
