just wondering

January 03 2009

I'm a 22 year old romantic kinda guy - the whole candles dinner and a glass of red on the beach is my thing, now my question is do women still appreciate that these days or just straight to the point. The reason for this question is because i am pretty new to sydney and not sure if this is the norm down here or not. Any help or feedback would be appreciated from someone who is more experianced haha. Ps, as i am also new to rhp i am unfamiliar with alot of the lingo so if you take a little extra to explain that would be appreciated also. cheers Benjamin.

Benjamin...I think a lot of women still appreciate the effort a man goes to in order to share a great evening with her. I don't know what they do in Sydney and I'm a lot older than you so perhaps I'm out of touch with what young women want. If it's the approach that will make you feel comfortable and at ease with yourself during your date then go for it! The more at ease you are...the more at ease she will be. Poss xxx

Wow, wish there was a few more guys like yourself. I think its wonderful that you want to make the date something special. Not sure about Sydney, but a little more romance wouldnt go astray over here in WA. Like a guy who knows what he wants and makes the effort. Its the simple things in life we often forget but enjoy the most. Grav brings me fresh cut oldfashioned roses from work...he always has since we first met. Its better than any pressies. We wish you well Ben and welcome to RHP. Grav n Leelee xxx

Think you will find that although a lot of the women on here claim they would like that sort of thing, unless you are model material you might not come up on their radar anyway. They say they like that but will choose someone that they think will give them what they are after, which isn't romance on this site. You have one good thing going for you, you are young which 80% of the women on here want. The other 20% that are smarter will pass you by as they will consider you too young.

Hey Benji, Being an older woman, i must say i love the whole candles, dinner, wine thing!! Although i can be straight to the point (as you put it) if the occasion arises.... pardon the pun!!!!!!!! I have been here 6 months and still learning the 'ropes'. Welcome to RHP and good luck! Any time your in Vic give me a yell- would be happy to wine and dine with you. Joh xx

... It's just not warranted in certain situations. Some women do want to get straight to the point but many do appreciate the romance of a guy wanting to get to know them (even just a little) before progressing on to other things :) Romance isn't always about cliched things like roses, champagne and dinner. It's about creating the mood for nice things to happen. The right music, the right ambience etc. I'm not seeking love on here but I still prefer to 'court' a sexual partner a little and certainly have a social meet before moving on (or not).

Some of my favourite dates have been one's where there was no sexual spark but we still had an amazing time together. A bottle of wine and good conversation, a visit to a gorgeous restaurant etc. I would recommend these men to any women in a heart beat... So just be the kind hearted person you are ausbenji and I'm sure the right woman will come along soon enough. You never know, she might be the best friend of the next woman you take out on a date!

Goodness yes. I like a slow build... makes everything so much hornier when you end up getting down to it. Meow.

Since when have women stopped loving romance? We defiantly love a romantic man! Chocolates, scented candles, rose's .. and of course followed by a passionate love making session is just perfect! And if you call the next day it's even better.
