As a single woman in a country town I find that a lot men who have sent messages to me assume that I'm desperate and that their attitudes towards women is a bit of a worry imo. The old "Hi I'm travelling through your town and I'm staying in blah blah hotel tonight..." I'm also finding that meeting people is an expensive exercise as I won't meet up with anyone from where I live (small town minds). Also, there is a bit of extra pressure (in my own mind I know) because your date has travelled a long way just to meet you. I'm attempting to overcome this by setting up a meet and greet drinkies in Bathurst where there is a no pressure, social environment to meet like minded people. I hope its a good night!

Yes, I find it quite difficult to meet like-minded people up here. While there are a lot of men here due to the various industries that dominate the local economy, the majority of them are not what I'm looking for. Also, I'm a long way from Brisbane or any other capital city which restricts things even further.I have found suitable people before though, so I'll just keep plugging away.

You get women from 'The Gettin' Place' which is anywhere women physically are on the map. Yes technically RHP is one of those 'Gettin' Places' but then there's the hard work where you have to get off your butt and go to where the women are if you want to actually meet one. Unfortunately living in a small town with slim pickins' on the ground involves some organisation, planning in advance and travel time on your part as girls are not just going drop out of the sky and onto your willy. Don't wait around for a power ball to drop on ya head dude. Get out there and live your dream while you are still young. I grew up in a small country town and woke up at 29 looked around and realised as a single woman it was totally shite. It was then I packed up my life, moved to a major city and have never looked back. It afforded me more opportunities right across a whole spectrum in regards to lifestyle not just in the 'Gettin' stakes.
