Last night I went over to a girlfriends house and we sat and watched porn. She has a collection of stuff from the olden days of DVD, not so much internet porn. She had some around the 1980 some modern and some amateurish stuff I found the older style porn much more arousing, where they kissed on the lips and the guy really was rather sensual with the woman. Where they were having sensual sex, and the focus was often on the pleasure on the woman and the man’s face.     I agree with you Tuscanred on this point. Modern porn is rather icky if you are a woman watching it (seems to get the guys aroused though). I watch it sometimes and just think, that it can't feel good. Pretty sure some of the groans and dirty talk is masking a bit of pain at times. Certainly not what I would call arousing. The only modern porn I have actually really found arousing was from X-art. That is really sensual porn. The women are a bit too skinny for my normal liking but the sex in the porn looks more like love making. I find that aspect a huge turn-on. One of the most arousing videos I saw was a woman very sensually going down on a man who was standing against a glass wall.     While some modern porn is certainly not to be condoned in its entirety (after all, fake bodies, fake moans and groans etc) it's still sex which I can't avert my eyes from....I would have to say the older amateur porn is definitely a thumbs up for me.     A lot of porn today is catered for mens taste and to appeal to their visual brains. While I'm sure there are elements of 'dirty, rough sex' in many relationships/ play scenarios, I'm sure the younger generation accept this as the norm.     As a bloke I find modern porn disturbing ( doesn't stop me watching it or stop it from turning me on) for the roughness and disrespect often shown towards women. Hard and rough sex can be fun on occasionbut it does not have to be disrespectful.     Porn has always been primarily for the male of our species. Yes it does influence the way they act and what they want to do. I put up a topic not that long ago about straight sex in porn and when did giving head, ff action, threesomes and anal become straight sex? The more that people watch all this fake crap, the more they think it is how things are meant to be.     I have to disagree Mrs IAT. More and more women consume porn. A lot more porn is being produced for women, some by women for women. As porn these days cater for a lot of different tastes, you might have to find it. As a few of my female friends tell me, a lot of lesbian porn is actually catered for men. They said women don't do some of the things you see on lesbian porn. TR, based on what you saw in modern porn, I think you can see why some men have an unhealthy view towards the treatment of women. If you want sensual porn, try watching some of the older japanese porn. As someone once told me, you don't need to understand what they are saying as who watched porn for the dialogue.

    Satyrs. It is a story line, some of the scenes I find so erotic, I am waiting for someone to watch it with so he can try it on me. The female scenes are also good to watch. But, Tuscan your question was does porn influence guys in the bedroom? At times I think it does, but ultimately it is up to the woman to moderate what is going during sex if she doesn't like what he is doing. I just hope that they learn better techniques, some variety and how to go the distance without boring me. Porn can be educational, it certainly opened up my vistas of sex.

    If you are after a porn movie with "somewhat" of a plot then may I recommend Pirates 1 and 2 (with Jesse Jane). It was the first movie I had seen with a plot of some kind. And apparently it was the most expensive porn ever made in its time due to the special effects, props and costumes etc. But don't take my word for it...I like almost any porn these days but it doesn't compare to the real thing. However on nights when you're wanting something more interesting to watch than the Infomercials, or just for the heck of it because hubby is away working or just because you haven't watched a blue movie in donkeys years....porn does have its place. :-). And you may just have to organise that night of porn after all @ Tuscanred. We could try to turn it into a cinematic appreciation night or a night of comedy (she took what where???) or just because it would be an awesome movie night for the girls....;-).

    Yes, they were the good ole days of porn. Ron Jerremy, John Holmes, Seeka and the list goes on. We have to agree that todays porn movies are just full of crap.     It depends what mood I am in. Sensual sex where the people are really into each other is amazing. But sometimes I do prefer watching the kinkier stuff.     The sad fact is porn has become the sex education for a generation of young men. And the porn that is sourced by youth is generally hard core, clearly objectifying women (as many writers have stated here), and the type thatspirals into yet another form of social addiction. Don't we all respond genuinely to tender touch? Sex education doesn't work in schools. The pressure of peer influence towers over personal identity questions of what I think for myself, what would I like to experiment with, or what doesn't feel right for me. Parents are left with the task.....whether they fulfill this is another matter. I do. In my experience, precious few parents approach any sexual topic with their young men and women with openness and honouring. Warm congratulations go to those who do handle it sensitively. I think that there is a place to explore the sensual with the eye, that this is a real arousal, of worth in our daily lives.     Porn is a conundrum for me. 80s porn with hairy vaginas and Ron Jeremy? YUK. At the end of the day I like to watch porn with attractive females AND Males THAT TAKE CARE OF THEMSELVES.     I have to say that I am not a fan of the modern films where the woman gets slapped in the face and then the guy's spit at her or even in her mouth. Then they have the ones where the woman gets choked until she struggles to breathe. This seems to encourage violence towards women in a sexual setting. Don't get me wrong - I enjoy watching porn, both sensual and hard and fast, but I hate violence in any form.
