where to buy lingerie not made in China

A few months ago me and my partner made the decision to stop buying products that are made in China. The main reason for this is because my partner is Taiwanese and in recent months the Chinese Communist Party has been threating to invade the island. Having visited both mainland China and Taiwan the difference is massive! Taiwan is a thriving democracy with a female president, The first country in Asia to legalise same sex marriage, Their response to the covid outbreak was outstanding with the island remaining practically covid free despite China excluding them from the WHO, They have their own Army and their own passport, A passport that actually allows them travel to more countries than mainland China. The people there see themselves as Taiwanese not Chinese. The thought of China conquering the island is horrifying for me and my partner when you take a look at the dirty list of Chinese human rights abuses and atrocities they have committed including suppression of democratic freedom in Hong Kong, Ethnic cleansing of Uighur Muslims and lets not forget the 1989 Tiananmen Square massacre! Anyway to get on to my point its actually bloody hard to buy things that are not made in China and the other day when I wanted to buy my partner some new lingerie we were disappointed to discover that our favourite brand (Honey Birdette) is actually made in China :( very disappointing as you can see it looks pretty good on her! So does anyone have any recommendations of alternatives? Also I just want to add that this is not a personal attack on the Chinese people, Just their leadership. We have many Chinese friends who 100% agree with us but to put it in perspective for you they can only agree now that they have left China.

It’s hard finding anything that isn’t these days! I don’t think pacific brands make in China, Cambodia and maybe Fiji by memory. So that gives you “Bras and Things” as a place to start looking. It’s not HB, but at least it’s a maybe? I think a lot of companies change where their stuff comes from on a yearly basis. We met someone who ordered for a major chain a few years ago and they said they went to a Vegas trade show each year, picked what they liked and had the company logo stuck to the rear! With all that the CCP has been dishing out over the last 12 months ' l dont blame you or your partner for feeling the way you do.. l am aware of China's intention in Taiwan and the Taiwanese people resistance.. So your not on your own rejecting merchandise being made in China.. Unfortunately ' l believe thats where the majority of these outfits are made not leaving you many options. And yes ' i agree your partner does wear it well... Good luck with you search..

Yep, very difficult to find things not made in China. Even Black Milk who used to make everything here, now have some of their clothing made in China. I just had a quick search - if money isn't an object then Something Wicked is a UK made high end brand, lots of leather and black. Eco Intimates are made in Byron and have some nice things if you like the cute, floral look.

I have ordered from Japanese sites, seems to be much higher quality but I have no idea whether they are manufactured in China. As for what China is up to, well it could be that we cotton on just a little too late. While we in the West have been living it up and spending on personal satisfactions rather than ensuring we are self sufficient, China has been doing the hard yards making sure they are a super power beyond reproach. Their economy, combined with wealth savings and military means they are well placed to not have to listen to any outside forces. Quite scary for us but maybe we should have been more awake to it much earlier. We have some interesting years ahead of us and it causes me great stress to think what world I’ve brought two beautiful souls in to.
