Narcissistic------ has anyone thought about preservatives affecting Chevtrek's mental health? He's a not new thing affecting a new and an old generation of women and I have noticed it in some women but doctors have no answers on what's causing it and why its mostly just women? In the USA he is now affecting 30% of women and it occurs to me that no man or lesbianwould tolerate it! Lets hear your thoughts? woops ps,........ women over 40!!!!!!!

I use either salt or oil to preserve my food. There is also the freezer. The extra salt content will raise my blood pressure, the extra oil will most probably clog up my arteries and the freezer will raise my electricity bill. It should make me worried thus affecting my mental health but I have other things to worry about. So, no, never really thought about preservatives affecting mental health.If you are worried, buy fresh or preservative free. The farmers would love your support.

I have indeed notice a disproportionate amount of women over 40 hovering like salivating she wolves in the jam section of coles. profits of ixl are soaring as is their share price on the back of these non lesbianese women. I am doing a coles run tonight , taking a film crew, sporting a pith hate an a southern English accent. will post results tomorrow

- This "Thing" is relatively new - It causes mental health issues - It mainly affects straight women - A third of women over fourty are now sufferers. My suspicion: BOTOX. Tadaaaah!

For those who weren't sure: I was kidding, duh. Botox is botulism, who needs the preservatives to make us ill? And yes, I know that even a toxin like that has nothing to do with any mental illness. I work with clients affected by Narcissistic Personality Disorder, and don't mean any disrespect there. *Rolls eyes before the Botox takes hold* Peace. Keep up the posts, Chevtrek!

Ok.. Firstly I have to confess that the original post discombobulated me because I'm trying to figure out exactly in which capacity your using narcissistic in relation to mental health and exactly how presertives cause this ...then how only women, seemingly younger women according to your post..... and again how the perception that lesbians aren't seemingly considered women in your post ... Because they along with men wont tolerate it...So my only logical conclusion is..... The physical byproduct of countless HEADJOBS and not presertives at all! Because... I for one didn't like the idea of having my profile pic shared on facebook. RHP did change that before completely discontinuing the like button in the forums altogether. I believe there are still like buttons to be found on other parts of RHP. Oh, more the fool me Mesmerised, I never have had the sense to know when someone is taking the piss. I have a high regard for most of your posts. I know fuck all about botox except that it was originally considered for use for some health issue.I HAVE heard of links between preservatives and mental health issues over the years and did come across many pages on that specific topic today. Leaves the thread to it's inevitable doom.

Just a change in topic does it all have to be about sex and this does affect sex and relationships. Topic has been covered by Dr Phil--The doctors--ABC media and even SBS. I am not saying that preservatives are the cause but it seems to me that most modern problems have started in the 20th centaury and hell it will affect sex as how would you feel if all she could say is how good she looks during sex--or special--or wonderful.. I have a friend--he loves her--supports her but if his kids want attention or his mother all hell breaks out because she no longer has his attention.......... I am not joking that also includes his friends.... It is a serious topic as mental health in men and women decline and some will say mental pressure of modern living but I cant se that we have so many devices to make life easier

Fair enough Ding, the only thing is what someone might like to see is not what they might get around here. I didn't actually think you were having a go at me Mesmerised, but I do get pissed off that I'm so gullible. Meeka, the like button WAS the link to facebook, Ruby_B will likely remember, I think the like button lasted less than a week. Good to see you post more Chev, your OP was very difficult to understand. I can see preservatives as the cause of many problems, I used to have a little booklet that pointed out which ones to avoid in particular. Preservatives are suspected to cause behavioural problems in children and there are a lot of stories of how changing a child's diet can improve those problems. I'm not sure about the effect on women in particular. I hope your friends wife is seeking help because whatever the cause, she sounds like she needs it.

I am actually pretty confident that genetics play a major role in personality disorders such as narcissism. Not sure why your op (as well as your other recent threads and posts) focuses on women and gays though. Like the types of issues you mention only affect us. On a serious note our longer life expectancies are bringing up new medical issues all the time that in the past we simply didn't live long enough to experience, as far as npd goes I suspect an overdose of Sex In The City as likely as preservatives.

There's plenty of posts on the topic of inanimate objects as profile pics DG, a search might find you an answer to your question. You make a good point about the life expectancy these days Mr Kool. I'm also thinking Chev that women seem to have more reasons than men for having mental health issues when you take hormonal issues into account including postnatal and menopause. Menopause of course being the more likely for women over 40.

From what you describe your friend's wife is lacking attention and may be insecure and needy. That is something very different than suffering from Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

Chev there are some well documented theories about the causes of NPD.amongst them are emotional ,physical and/or sexual abuse as a child... ...or over-praise from parents.....and in fact, it does seem to be more prevalent in men than women....although the person affected may appear to be overly confident, their ego is quite fragile.
