Fake profiles

June 27 2015

We have all seen references here on the forums about fake profiles. Lord knows we have ourselves been flirted/messaged by many over out time but can generally pick them quickly now days.We have had Single guys posing as single woman. Singles guys posing as couples.Couples posing as single womanI am not single guy bashing here,Mrs Luv enjoys the odd MFM .I am also aware that some of the couples profiles may be a couple,it is just that the female half doesn't know about it. I may not get any replies but I am interested to hear if anyone has had any results from a fake profile? What have you gained from doing this? Have you ever managed to play with someone you initially deceived after convincing them to? People call these fake profiles- picture collectors, but to be honest if you want to look at some naked pictures it is all there on the web without having to create fake profiles. Please feel free to open another profile just for the sake of replying to this thread without blowing your coverCheersThe Luvsilvers

To me, if I believe I am meeting a 40yo and turns out the guy is obviously 60+yo, then that is fake to me. I can understand fake profiles ... as a way of getting the attention of others that they may not have otherwise had a chance of meeting. Fakes can be frustrating, especially if they never actually intend to meet. That is a sad waste of time and can leave you feeling creeped out. I have met 3 guys whose ages were not as stated. Alarmed at first but giving people the benefit of the doubt I can honestly say they became good friends of mine. It was also the only time that they were dishonest. Everything else about them was absolutely genuine. LG

Had guys posing as a couple, (the wife is always "at the shops' or "working nightshift".) I almost met a 19 year old who was posing as a 33 year old. I was messaged by a woman who wanted to have a girls night out in the city, but her messages were getting stranger and stranger. I suspected it was a guy. And it turned out it was, other people in the chat room had picked up on it. Theres a couples profile I view and its obviously fake.....those Luvsilvers are far too fricken hot to be real! I almost feel sorry for some of the fakes, they are on here because something is missing in their life but they wont do anything to rectify it and use the site as some sort of release?

Some sites have profiles that are 100% fake, I don't think that's what we're talking about here.I think we're talking about profiles that faking it, real people faking it...

We have had plenty fake profiles making contact. When they get straight to the point wanting to see nude photos then generally it's a male posing as a couple. Our reaction is to tell them we only open our PG to verified profiles and that we will gladly open ours, once they verify theirs. It is at that point that they vanish, never to contact us again. It was called Salacia and made two days before Valentine's day. It was done in good fun and with the sole intention of sending "anonymous" flirts to some forumites. I did use a pic of myself (well, my breasts) and dropped plenty of hints in the profile, including how I "Love to meander through the forums". I also set the profile so no one could message me. But my gods, the backlash I received from one or two female members when I outed myself, for tricking poor unsuspecting men into being interested in my phony alter ego...

Some time ago we had a guy that had 2 single guy profiles as well as a couples profile. We received flirts from all 3 profiles and were also on his 3 profiles hot lists. Some of his profiles had the same pictures on them and they were all in current use at the same time. Mr Luvsilver Curious: I can understand how he could have both a singles and couples profile (been there too), but did he pretend to be different men in his singles profiles? When doing a search recently I came across several women with two different profiles. Both active, same main profile pic and little difference in the written part. I didn't understand their motivation, really. (Unless there are fakes copying others' profiles, which I've also seen.)

One single guy profile was only ever a flirt so not sure about that one.The couples profile and one single guy profile had him having different names in the message. The couples profile had about five pictures of him showing either his face or his dick ,the one picture of a female was just a portion of some cleavage and that was it. Yup, there was this 1 guy who was messaging me. His profile pics were of this young overly muscled guy and when I asked him for an actual pic he admitted that those weren't his actual pics but no way in hell was I expecting some 60+ guy!!! And don't get me started about the guys who claim to be athletic who are clearly not! It annoys me when ppl r not honest about their appearance. All my pics are under 3 months old and I'm upfront about my weight because I am curvy.

I'd never meet someone who had initially lied, it shows what kind of a low life they are, and i'm so tired of the reeeeaally old or fake pictures, caught a few out and gave them a lathering, or claiming they're a certain age when they look 10 or 20 years older, who are they trying to kid, makes my blood boil. And don't get me started on the 'athletic' versus 'not even close'. Back arrow is my best friend, i've nearly worn mine out - Posted from rhpmobile

I see fake pics often, I'm actually pretty good at picking them. One woman I suspected had fake pics, and when she sent me another pic via kik I reverse image searched it and it came up as a major celebrities photo (side profile of her bum). I called her out on it and she got very abusive toward me around the fact that I didn't trust her, then she blocked and deleted me. And most recently, I have come across two profiles in a few weeks, both using pics of girls I happen to know in person. I have good image recall and remembered them from instagram even if they had been cropped. For those using fake pics, stop it. I understand that some people may need to be discreet for one reason or another, but deceiving someone into meeting you based on false pics is dishonest and a waste of time. PS I suggest people google how to reverse image search on google. Helps to pick out people who are being fake.

If you use a fake pic.... presumably.... to interest someone with a view to meeting.... and expect them to turn up and wonder who the hell you a re because you don't resemble your pics.... are you expecting the other person to just..... accept that... when YOU wouldn't accept it?!!!! Because if you're not doing it with a view to meet someone..... where the fuck is the entertainment value of being such a frikken fraud?! I just don't get it. DG

Quoting 'Mischeviouslad' Because if you're not doing it with a view to meet someone..... where the fuck is the entertainment value of being such a frikken fraud?! I think for the same reason role-playing games like Dungeons and Dragons are so popular. It's a chance to step into a fantasy world and be an amazing magical creature everyone desires, rather than the unhappy/bored/insecure/lonely/unattractive person you (plural) are in the real world. I completely see the appeal of playing pretend, given everyone knows that's what it is. Unfortunately that's often not the case on sites like this.

I don't hide. I am me and that is the choice I make. While old photos are still a degree of misrepresentation..... its a rather different story to some guy using pics of Jessica Simpson he lifted off the net..... to pass off a female profile......and thinks nobody will notice. Role play in that form, without any real connectivity to other humans (or their avatars).... can only deliver "so much". DG

Having been a suspect pretty much from day one on the forums, I sometimes wonder if people make that call based on their own views as to what constitutes a valid profile (verification, validations, friends list's etc. or the lack of). Dare I say it, and I get it but at the same time, I find the whole compulsion to reverse image search alarming on more than a few levels. What if you're wrong? You've essentially removed that person's anonymity. What then?

If I had known about reverse search last year, I wouldnt have actually gone to the trouble of meeting a guy who looked nothing like his pics, and I mean Nothing!! Chatting for 2 weeks, talking on the phone.I turn up, sit down and this guy approaches, introduces himself. I said" you arent the same guy in your photos" to which his defence was,"well Im not going to plaster my pics all over the internet" I asked him whose pics they were and he said they were just a guys off the net that he thought looked similar to him( nothing like him) He seriously didnt think he had done anything wrong and when I got up to leave he said," well you are here now, you might as well stay for a drink" so if I had known about reverse search, it would have been a question I could have asked him earlier and saved my time and his from a dissapointing meet.

By the same token, had I been aware of it last year I wouldn't have made the mistake of having a face pic on display (lesson learnt). I totally get where you and others are coming from with that, and as good as it is for that purpose, it can also be a massive misuse of available technology and extremely dangerous in the wrong hands - especially if you haven't removed properties from the actual pic (although I'm not sure wether or not that's an issue with reverse imaging but another lesson learnt all the same).

The Reverse Image search isn't fool-proof by any means, though I'm not sure I understand your question about removing someone's anonymity? I did search someone's pic once who was a dead ringer for Ryan Gosling, only to learn he was the real deal when Google coughed up his LinkedIn page (that also had his full name, place of work and phone number, by the way.) I do try to mention now and then that it's not a good idea to use the same pics for both sites (and Facebook!) if you want to remain anonymous. Is that what you meant? I really only do a search when a pic looks "too good to be true" to me, either because of the person in it or the quality. There are plenty of actors, models and athletes on here that don't even live in Australia. I thought your face pics were great, but I can understand why you took them down. Quoting 'Mischeviouslad'I have been accused of being someone else in the forums.... that person was accused of being me..... I still have better pics. And I agree, Blindman wrote a great forum about profile pic security, which I think is worth reading: http://redhotpie.com.au/Adult-Forums/Profile-images-and-personal-security-42230

Blindman's forum is fantastic and Meander, you do make a point of not using the same pics that are used on LinkedIn & Facebook etc. every now and then and I think that that's great but I also think that there is a great deal rhp members that don't read the forums and wouldn't be as aware as those of us that do. Anonymity as in the safety of our usernames. I'm not talking about obvious fakes or confirming wether or not someone is real prior to meeting. I'm specifically referring to those that suspect a fake profile based on nothing more than their own view as to what constitutes as valid and then going on to reverse image - which may (or may not) lead to someone's real identity.

For me the site would be about making contact with people. I don't want to assume why people do fake accounts, I can only guess they never plan to meet, because from my point of view if you have a fake account and plan to meet, how is that ever going to be successful? I prefer to take a more empathetic approach to fake accounts, and would like to understand what is missing from these people lives and if there is any way as a community we could help them achieve that without the need for secrecy or deception. The reality is we'll just ignore and insult them cause its the internet and that's easier to do from a keyboard than feel. :(

Well, between you and I ... I'm not actually 100, nor interested in groups. I got the idea of age from WillowTree and being listed as interested in groups from Annie. The why is because I've extracted myself away meeting people from the site, and this way I don't come up in searches. For a long time I had profile with my regular details in here, just with "Not Interested any more" or similar. But because I came up in searches I was still being approached ... and with that all the factors that edged me away from using the site in the first place. When I first joined this and another similar site I was very, very naive. So naive I didn't realise I was a unicorn. I'm sure most people could appreciate how intense it is if you open your profile up to men, females and couples. I encountered so many 'fake' profiles, it was part of the reason I stopped using the site. I've never been to lied so much in such a short period of time. Of course not everyone lies, but it was substantial and grating enough for me to back away. But I like the forums and I adore (secretly, I hope) many of the peeps who congregate in here. To answer your question. I gained ... quietness.

has not really been something I am into doing... If I am intrigued by a male or female profile in a non-sexual way, either coming across them via forum or chat or them contacting me, and find their pictures too good to be true, I may do a reverse image search to find out more about the person. Most of the time, I don't bother finding out about these people. More often than not, they saying is true re. if it is too good to be true then it probably is. And most likely, these people will not turn up for a meet, IMO. Earlier on in my membership herel, last year, I was contacted by an intelligent and gorgeous man. His pictures were just delicious and we had chats on here and via text. communication went on for weeks. he was a smooth operator. I did a reverse image search of him and found that the pictures of the ripped torso was of an American porn star/model. I felt betrayed but also a harsh lesson in reality re. cyber dating. I eventually met him when I flew over to his city for work. He is a lot older than his pictures and a bit shorter than his height. But his body was great and even better than the pics of the model. I told him why even bother with the model and just put his real body pics. He said the pics were 'aspirational'. Oh, ok.. He eventually dropped the model pics for some reason. However, his age has remained 35 for the last 2 years. But that is his prerogative and left it as such.

Quoting 'Meander' Recently, a 26 year-old woman looking to fulfill her gang-bang fantasy, but only with guys over fifty "cos it seems hot". Posted, then never returned. Hmmm. Maybe she got what she came for, her ultimate fantasy - over-50s gangbang - after she posted. She must have been inundated with interests.... All she had to do now is to verify their age. All must have the pension card upon entry. I have a feeling she is an insurance agent for the over 50s insurance company and is on a full on marketing drive "to fill her quota" for the month. Devious yet original. Things we do to get our Christmas bonuses!

Quoting 'lilyorchid' Quoting 'Fig_Bucker' Quoting 'Meander' Wet Paint/50zkool, is that you? ;-) The answer is in the negatory. so it is not you then, why disappear? . It will just make people suspicious that you are Wet Paint. It is ok to come back and say what you want, Fig or Oz/Wet_paint. whoever you are... It is just a forum. Just to remind you I'm not the wet one. I came back to say adieu.

Quoting 'Mischeviouslad' I really don't know why some people bother, when the photo is clearly fake, is easily reverse image searched.... and even the profile description is a copy n paste that is sooooooooo easily googled and located... IN ITS ENTIRELY And yet...... this "woman" has 15 "friends".... clearly blind to the obvious!!!! Go figure. Hence most of the fake profiles have the Fuzzies (thanks Meander) or grey ghosts in the old world. For fear that technology will catch up and find them out. some of these profiles were of course created for the purpose of stirring up the forum - trolling. Lol. We all know that. WRT friends, well there are so many people here jsut sending friend requests without meeting or chatting. I receive a request out of the blue from people across the country. Up to 5 a day! and that is just based on my profile pic. Most of the time, they don't even match what I am looking for. so no surprise there.

Some people do create fake profiles just to stir up other posters..my New Years resolution is to not be provoked by the trolls..I have noticed that one incarnation of a serial fake profile has gone and another has popped up in their place.xxFreya

Got a two-word message from a man in Sydney on my vanilla site last night, and I responded in kind. This morning I found a much more eloquent message from him in my inbox, but it appears he moved to Seattle during the night. Do they really think we won't notice?

At latest count I have uncovered 4 fake profiles on this site made by my ex bf to trick me into talking to him or not talking to anyone else. 🙄🙄🙄 Two fake profiles were men and 2 were made as women where he contacted guys on here to tell them stupid shit so they wouldn't hook up on me. Luckily the guys all let me know. Was probably 6 men, that I know of, that he sent messages about me via this "woman's" profile. I've got screen shots of the disgusting conversations where he just rips me to shreds because luckily the guys hve sent them thru to me. I'll admit it really upset me at times and scared me too. It's crazy wot some ex partners will do to try and stop u from being with other people. All of the profiles I have had taken down each time it happens. Been about 3 weeks now where I've not found one so fingers crossed he's moved on. 🤔 - Posted from rhpmobile

About fake profiles? My comments were not off topic, and did not contain specific information .There are people here who reinvent themselves on a regular basis ...once others realise who they are they disappear until the next incarnation ...hence my Where's Waldo comment that Summer responded to.xxFreya

We are all using a pseudonym, most women are deliberately vague or misleading about location for personal safety and many profiles are more about guessing what people want to hear than telling the truth. How many profiles are really that genuine ? Very few.

Sorry to hear about how your ex is ruining your RHP experience. Hopefully he does move on and leaves you alone. Guys like that are a complete waste of space. Hugs LG

I have mixed thoughts on the topic considering there are many individuals who think it's okay to have more than one profile, sometimes in different sexes. I know, as a couple, we used to have 3, which was legal. I'd get so confused about whether I was posting on the couple or female. .There were other people who it would be well known had multiple profiles posting in the forums, also, in different sexes. A man in body was allowed to run a profile as a woman, I saw many people offer that advice to do so more than once in the forums. .There are a slew of profiles, who still use photos the same photos they joined with. Does that make them fake?.It used to pay to have a woman's profile but I like to think the changes to the freebies they used to get might have cut down on some of that..He and I met a guy who admitted he'd fudged quite a few details in his profile because of a work mate getting too close to an old one. That didn't prove to be a problem..It is the time of the internet and I'm of a mind that there is all kinds of bullshit out there. Don't believe everything you hear or see. Do your research. Peachy

We have had a few and as soon as you ask why their profiles not verified they cease all contact. I personally think all profiles should have to be verified before RHP approves them for viewing.
