I cant believe you let that one go in the shopping centre!!! Why didnt you give him your number woman!! I'd be doing a bit more trolley pushing in the same shop, hoping to find him again. Well I have a bit of a dilema. Ive met a guy who is 42 but looks like he is mid 20's. i kid you not!! I lived in the Santa Cruz Mountains...amongst the Sequoia . And mountain lions aka cougars lived there too. The sound the female made when she was mating,was the most chilling scream I have ever heard. I had many dreams about the lions and when I was a child I dreamt of lions then too. Nope didnt up his age, he could seriously pass for a guy 20 yrs younger. And hes had it all his adult life. I was sceptical going by the pics. But its the combination of several different nationalities in his genes that do it too. Anyway, He's on another site, but Ive asked him to join rhp and meet some people from here. As young lads in the Navy, there was an initiation of sorts amongst some. A gauntlet if you will. The challenge was to be taken home by a woman twice your age plus one year. This was referred to as your "Boiler Ticket". This refers to the time when ships were powered by super heated steam driven engines. We have long now been in the time of Gas Turbines for propulsion. (The still earlier days - the age of sail - was when ships were made of wood, and men were made of steel). City of Sydney RSL was considered a near certainty in those days (late 80's/early 90's). Friday's were referred to as "Grab a Granny night at the Rissole". !!! You could always spot the newly joined apprentices 'cause they either "stepped in rig" (went out in uniform), or got changed into civvies (civilian clothes) on the train enroute from Quakers Hill to Central Station. Most all of us were pimply faced kids aged 15 to 19, sporting buzz cuts, congregating in large numbers, and giggling like prepubescent school boys. I usually gave that scene a miss. I found it all a bit naff. I'd already spent a few years living and working in my parents' Pub before I joined, I already knew quite a few older guys and girls who'd signed up before I did, and so I found hanging out with them instead in various other venues was far more exciting, interesting and entertaining. I have met with older women over the years, but never did get my Boiler Ticket. That's a tougher proposition the older you get! I've not been any younger girls' Boiler Ticket either. That's something you can only do as you get older. Thing with me is, when people mention times or places past, I consider where I was and what I was doing at that time or at that place. Consequently, it seems a bit creepy to me to consider where I'd been, or what I'd done or experienced before the time some girls were even born! I've met many young women I find attractive, but even as I'm approaching just 45 now, there are ways I perceive a generation gap beginning to open. I find sexual encounters unaccompanied by connection at another level prone to fall a little flat. Women are often said to age like a fine wine. Whilst not a big wine drinker myself (in the literal sense), I have the knowledge and sense to discern/differentiate between Grange and Spumante.
