How far have/will you travel for a meet?

October 30 2013

Or how far has someone travelled for you (apart from those already travelling anyway)?   I'm just curious as I've spent a bit of time in my car recently. I normally insist people travel to me but he's a shift worker and he needed his sleep so I took the high road.   The most someone travelled for me was a lovely Melburnian RHP'er who was at a conference in Sydney recently. He drove 3 hours through bad road works to spend a few hours with me, then turned around and drove 3 hours back. Bless his cotton socks.   So how far have/will you travel?

Fmy first meet, some time ago was an hours drive away... We'd been talking via phone for a few months before opportunity to meet arose. I knew from those communications that we'd get on well... but I never take as a given anything more. Driving (or flying!) for hours on mere assumptive speculation of sex just seems weird to me...... its just not that hard to meet local women and become sexual)..... anyway, I stayed all weekend and it was nice. (We made soup lol). Now, across town is generly too far and. I'd say 15km maximum is my general experience. DG- Posted from rhpmobile

...and traffic matters i'd say one hour would be very acceptable, one and a half getting up there, also depends how much you want to see the person and how long much time do you plan to spend together, 3 h drive for a quickie seems like a lot of effort lol most i drove to see someone was also around the 3h mark each way, but we got to spend the night together, was someone i knew and also knew i had the hots for, so was well worth the drive :)

10 mins. 20 max.Anything longer makes me feel a bit desperate - and gets a bit inconvenient. Especially if you barely know the person.

Nah, well I am flexible with that a little but not much. The joys of living in a big city eh!. I have travelled to Melbourne once to visit a woman who wanted me to come down there for her birthday. I arranged a naughty foursome for her with some delicious bi men. Gawd that was hot. Have never travelled to meet a guy though.

My last 2 partners (1 ended up being a very long term partner)... both were from the Mid North Coast NSW and I was living in Sydney... way back before the Bulahdelah bypass (both of them), the Taree bypass and all the Pacific Highway upgrade bits were open the trip took 5-6 hours each way, now it taks about 3 1/2 hours... I would drive up at least every other weekend to spend Saturday/Sunday with them and then drive back.If someone is special enough, say a FWB for example or even an FB, I would find a way.Hell, I've driven to Newcastle many an evening just for coffee with a friend just because she needed me there (no sex) and that is a 90min trip each way without traffic. This weekend I am going to Brisbane for a break... nothing special, just to get away. The world is getting smaller, embrace the cheap flight.

Once to meet a lovely lady from Queensland, so Sydney was about half way. The other time I was meeting up with a very good friend and, as I knew I'd have most of the weekend free, I met up with an RHPer for some fun. Both were well worth the effort.

I'm not even within reasonable driving distance of the nearest capital. And to add to it, flights to and from here are more expensive. It's frustrating, to put it mildly.I flew down to Melbourne a few months ago for Saints and Sinners, and decided to make the most of the weekend by also arranging a threesome with a couple of very cute Melbourne boys. I don't mind a bit of an adventure, so any excuse to travel is a good one. If there are no expectations, there is also no disappointment for me making the effort, and I'll find something else of interest in that part of the world if things don't work out. I'll always have a Plan B. For a meet up, the better I have gotten to know them, the further I would travel. 3hrs, not a problem.

Some weekends I can do 400km round trip just on a Saturday doing quotes for my business - and that's just within Sydney, so I am prepared to do the same for the time I give myself off to have fun. Besides, I have travelled to Melb, Canberra and the gold coast to watch motor races for a weekend so why shouldn't all my recreation be as flexible :)Just last week I drove down to Wollongong in the afternoon to meet someone for the first time (without presumptions) and within 15mins of meeting we were in the hotel room, she was naked in front of the window (love the public sex thing), then 45mins of me giving her oral on the lounge floor, then finally made it to the bedroom for much more pleasure including the first time I have ever been able to do a five finger fisting (I have bigggg hands) and I will remember forever that look of pleasure on her face. I don't get the same enjoyment out of driving around doing quotes I can tell ya....However she prefers to play in sydney so we will be doing so on a regular basis from now on, and some of the fun we are planning..........Brad

From Sydney, In chronological order was Perth. A year later I went to stay with a girl in Indianapolis. Thats was an unbelievable month. Once I went to london. Once to Hawaii. Once to Vancouver. Once to Port Macquarie. Once to New York. What can I say. I make friends all over the world and when you click you just want to meet so I just went. The Indianapolis one was by far the most spur of the moment. October 99 on the Tuesday I had just come back from Hobart and had an email saying she had just quit her job and had a month off before starting her next job. By 8am on the Wednesday I was on a flight to LAX....

@ bartender..... really???? In a city of 4+million people, you think other places in Australia might be better?!!!! Why???? Bluntly put..... the best place to "pick up" is the place you're standing. It's also the worst place if you struggle with it. So if someone struggles in Sydney, where the weight of numbers is significantly in their favour....it's not going to help much if they relocate their struggles, to a smaller pool in "Elsewhere". DG

I'm intensely private, so local always makes me very cautious, though I've been lucky in the past. I have good screening tactics :) Travel is in my blood and I wouldn't hesitate to jump on a plane if it felt right. It takes a lot for it to feel right, but once it does, I trust my judgment completely. I find it's rare that men are willing to travel. They usually ask me to go to them, and then persist when I say no, as though it's a measure of their seductive abilities to be able to get a woman to say yes. That's a sign for me that they're not worth my time. I'm not here to stroke anyone's ego. I was chuffed recently when a man offered to fly 2000kms to meet me. He's very lovely. I'm thinking about it. I haven't worked out yet if he's expecting sex but it's not on offer so that could be a deal-breaker from his perspective. We'll see :) I don't really believe in limits. One hour, 20kms etc - they all seem to miss the point of life to me, which is to have magnificent adventures, big or small. Sure, you can have them close to home, but you can have them far away as well. - Posted from rhpmobile

Quoting 'I_N_D_A_G_I_N_E' Quoting 'Mesmerised' Once a handsome forum poster offered to fly me out to Melbourne for a 24-hour date. It was an offer I could not resist.   No names, but yes details Miss!! Right, so I arrived in Melbourne and he picked me up from the airport. He'd planned on cooking a big meal, but we ended up eating appetisers while downing two bottles of Champagne. We cuddled on the couch, then even went out on the town for a bit. The rest is classified, but I had an amazing time. He made the best coffee in the morning, then took me out for breakfast, before putting me back on a plane. My dogs barely realised I was gone.

For the right person .. in the right atmosphere .. and time ..I have turned down the opportunity to traven over to the north shore, die to not the distance .. but the time factor.. a 50k trip that at the wrong time of day would have taken 2.5hrs to do .. But I have traveled back and forth to Hobart .. 1.5 hrs for the right person .. 4 days stay on average every 8 weeks .. Once took a trip to Paris on a wim .. and ended up doing a round trip of 21 days with same person via England and Dubai ..

I am Military and used to travel but when I have arranged flights and accom etc to travel out to country areas (x3) only for non show ups and turned off mobile phones tends to get one's titties. I think it is hard enough for fella's to meet people here but we aren't all that bad.

We've traveled from Adelaide to meet girls in Syd, Brissy & Tokyo ... but always schedule it around travel we'd do anyway, so it's like an added bonus or extra naughty holiday.
