... I'm thankful...

January 07 2014

I'm thankful for so many things, everyday. I'd like to share some of them here, and maybe you'll do the same if you feel that way inclined. I'd like that, thanks in advance... . Today, I'm thankful for the love in my life, something I'm grateful for every day, amd something I never take for granted. I wouldn't be without the special people, I'm in touch with most days. . Thanks, Peachy

To my ex-husband for being the beautiful, loyal and loving friend you are and for ensuring that our girls have a Daddy that every other man they encounter will be measured against. At least they know what a real man isn't and as they grow into young Ladies they know who their Daddy is. A mountain of forgiveness, patience and strength. For this I will always love you. On a funnier note the girls found a joke to share: God said to Man you will find good and obedient wives in every corner of the world, then he made the world round......and laughed and laughed and laughed 😇 Indy ~ Wayward Angel On Safari PS: I also asked 16yo to design a tattoo for me.....her response a Spider or a Preying Mantis? and laughed..... My sister is an amazing designer, don't 'settle' we can make awesome personalised tatt designs. We're not here to fuck spiders. or praying mantis! She has trophies for "Best Back", "Best Arm" "Best Lower Back" the list goes on. They are truly classy and individual. And in Tatt world, that is saying something. Incredibly individual and artistic. She is working on my white flannel flower design as we speak. And Meander - I usually like a head fuck but..... mm ,,,,,

Thanks everyone for your posts which lift my spirits even on days when I'm feeling down. . for breathing, Warning is something to be appreciated that we might not realize the importance of sometimes. The ability to comfortably breath can never be underestmated. . for time... Time also should never be underestimated, it might not heal all wounds or give that soft fuzzy forgetfulness we might cherish, but it certainly gives new points of view, a more mature perspective. Taking the time to hang out in the forums has given me many points of view!!! . Oh yeah... and I'm real fucking thankful that I get to use our car while He uses the work car... But it's okay, I'll just sound the horn loudly so everyone will know I'm cumming! HEHE! . All that, Artepwolf. . Your friends know a good sort when they see one eh Ms Song. How could they not. Unfortunately zero support from work. Was literally business as usual 30 seconds after the ambulance left. The hero tag really doesn't apply, I'd like to think I did what any decent person would do. It is extremely flattering. I ask everyone who reads this to check in on anyone you think might be having a tough time. Sometimes a call or text letting them know you care might just bring a person back from the brink.

For the people who attended my workshop on Saturday. For the fact I have the skills to teach. And that those skills help me to debrief. Hell Memo, that's pretty remiss of work not to provide some sort of de-briefing after a critical incident. Maybe your line of work requires you to deal with suicidal people regularly but you still need to be able to debrief and let go of stuff. Like others, I'm thankful you were there and thankful to those who offered support. Suffice to say I'd be happy to offer an ear any time you need de-briefing.

I'm thankful for lamb chops. I'm thankful for chocolate-coated honeycomb. I'm thankful for Mad Max: Fury Road - so could have been a disappointment, completely wasn't. I'm thankful to Larry Mcmurtry for his Lonesome Dove book series. Reading the series again currently, still amazing. I'm thankful for Merrell footwear. Seriously, the most comfortable things you'll ever put on your feet. I'm thankful Elvis existed. I'm thankful for my wild childhood imagination, which had me believing Elvis was secretly buried in my hometown's cemetery and all I had to do was find him. I'm thankful that I was alive for 7 years that Elvis was. I'm thankful for music streaming services. I'm thankful for cats. I'm thankful for video games, still to this day and likely for all my livelong days. I'm thankful for cigarettes. I'm thankful for red-tailed black cockatoos. I'm thankful for beer. Of course. I'm thankful for the Boeing 747, in all its' iterations. You can stick your A380's, the 747 is still the most magnificent aircraft. I'm thankful for cheesecake, but only my mother's. Every other cheesecake on the planet that I have ever tasted has been disappointing in comparison. I'm thankful for podcasts. I'm thankful that my cat, when I refuse to satisfy his desire for a continuous flow of biscuits, gets really shitty with me. Like, really really shitty. I'm thankful that chilli plants are really easy to grow. You could probably throw some seeds in your sock drawer and a plant would have sprouted by days' end. I'm thankful for Bluetooth technology. The weather, love that it hasn't gotten too hot yet. 100% grateful the hot flushes are finally finished. The birds, the family that helped clear the bugs off our lawn over a couple of days and the nest in our weeping rose out the front. The bees harvesting pollen from the roses yesterday. The Roses, so many blooming all at once and more to come.Sharing the pics of all the nature we're surrounded by on facebook. Family, family and more family. Friends. A sense of security.Good food.
