It is so addictive!. There's is MAFS dinner parties and events held over Australia when ever a show is on. Maybe MKR could do that catering. Ms Foxy

My hairdresser first said "Oh my God, you look like Jules from MAFS". Then it started, family/friends and co-workers. Even the lady at Coles register said something, yesterday. Thanks, I think. I'll take it as Jules is stunning. Ms Foxy

I don't watch this show because it is so toxic but it's everywhere and hubby came home today steaming after one of his work mates told him about how Ines' hubby has been dragged over the coals after he responded to all the verbal abuse Ines has thrown her husband's way since the very first day. Way to dumb down domestic abuse.

The series is not over yet. I'm sure the "experts" are not with the couples 24hrs a day. I'm sure they only get bits and pieces shown to them (ie the wedding and dinner party) and how the couples interact in front of them. Viewers would see more. Plus an intervene happened due a toxic relationship. The outcome was both parties agreed to it. It is yet to be continued. After all, it has got viewers across australia in. Ms Foxy

Re: my previous post on this thread. It's sickening to see vulnerable people put into positions where they end up being abused. I don't care about their ratings, it's disgusting and the so called 'experts' should be on the ball if they're going to be there at all. That's their supposed job. But they put vulnerable people into situations with their choice of partners that guarantees these outcomes from my perspective. But that's how they get viewers in isn't it. It's a sad reflection on society.

You do know about how victimised partners will stay in a relationship even though it is obviously so bad for them, especially when they are vulnerable. And fancy having a relationship in from of the country, how much more pressure would that put on to play the game?

I just came across this article that mentions some of what you have had to say (regarding ignorance of the real situation as is typical of domestic abuse) and the backlash by a load of people who feel the same way as me. "There's a petition for Married At First Sight expert Mel Schilling to be sacked and it's gaining momentum" Bella Brennan 10 hrs ago It's the confrontation on Married that's got the whole nation talking. After Bronson Norrish labelled his wife a "c---" on Sunday night's episode of MAFS, expert Mel Schilling cautioned him over his language. "When you use language like that in relation to a woman, how do you expect her to respond to you? A tip from me to you: Don't use language like that if you want any chance of a relationship," she said. But fans took to social media to express their outrage over Mel's actions, pointing out that Bronson was simply taking a stand against wife Ines' long-running taunts and while it might not have been the best choice of words, Ines is a bully. And now, the backlash towards expert Mel has reached pitch with an online change.org petition calling for her to "be sacked or apologise" has already clocked up over 27K signatures. "Married at first sight expert Mel Schilling lashes out at Bronson for using foul language. This psychologist is a biased feminist who has made it clear that she thinks it's okay for a woman to behave the way Ines does," the petition reads. "Bronson has been a victim of her verbal and emotional abuse all week, and the second he decides its enough 'expert' Mel comes in and says he shouldn't be using that language. The thing is, Ines is exactly what he said, a nasty, abusive piece of work." "Mel needs to make a formal apology or be sacked from the show. The show doesn't need feminists as an 'expert.'" The petition page also claims many fans have been blocked from Nine's social media channels for leaving comments about the scandal. Psychologist Mel has since broken her silence, explaining she doesn't see gender and was simply calling out Bronson for dangerous language. "I'm gender-blind in that role. Abusive or harmful behaviour is something I'm going to call out whether it's men or women doing it," she told 9Honey. "As experts sitting on that couch we are not privy to everything that happens to the participants during the week. If a person had a problem and they sought professional advice, that professional wouldn't have seen what they'd done for the last week outside of that session. They only have what's going on in that session to respond to," she added. "Similarly, that's all I was responding to -- what was happening there the moment without the benefit of that information about what had happened in the wedding and the honeymoon. We only saw what was happening in front of us." The show has since come to Mel's defence with a producer explaining the experts, made up of Mel, Trisha Stratford and John Aiken, only see small segments of the couples' interacting and aren't privy to watching them 24-7. "It's important to understand that the expert's role consists of three parts: the matchmaking of the couples, observing the dinner parties, providing relationship advice at the commitment ceremonies and any private couples counselling if required," producer Tara McWilliams explained to 9Honey. Adding: "They aren't present during any filming outside of these weekly events, including the weddings and honeymoons." Meanwhile Network executive producer John Walsh also addressed the matter in a statement, which read: "There were 12 women in the room that night and a man used language that was highly insulting and inflammatory in reference to his wife. Mel acted in the only way appropriate by calling out the language -- language that is not ever considered acceptable anywhere, anytime." "We are shocked at the backlash Mel has received for defending another woman."

She called out poor behaviour on the spot, in front of her, there and then, regardless of gender. Without the benefit of the background story. Bronson later went on to say he could of chosen better words, and felt ashamed.I don't agree with the producer Mr Walsh playing the gender card. I'd like to think gender wouldn't matter to him either. But maybe it does, he couldn't be bothered pulling Ines away for a talk, when he's seen this unfold in front of his eyes. And then reinforces his lack of action with the quote below......Cock!Quoting 'PeachyPearL' Meanwhile Network executive producer John Walsh also addressed the matter in a statement, which read: "There were 12 women in the room that night and a man used language that was highly insulting and inflammatory in reference to his wife. Mel acted in the only way appropriate by calling out the language -- language that is not ever considered acceptable anywhere, anytime." Mmm, as I understand it Ines demonstrated some poor behaviour during that interview that was completely ignored. Hey, I might not watch it but I do read about it. If only partners were encouraged to speak up and out rather being expected to take it. Men in particular because they are the strong sex.

Any proper expert would endeavour to get to the bottom of the problem rather than dumping a professional (matters more than most that would imply?) opinion on him. A less judgemental response might have been to ask... "Why do you feel that way?" Instead of the judgemental take down. Reply could have been for eg: Because she has treated me like a 'cunt' from word one but no one has given a shit, just soaked up the entertainment. That's probably more me than the victims they have chosen to partner off this season.

If only partners were encouraged to speak up and out rather being expected to take it. Men in particular because they are the strong sex. She has and always will. She is the definition of a bully. On a boat she said ( yelled at ) to Bronson."if i tell you to shut up, you shut up" or words to that effect. At the ceremony, she didn't have much to say apart from " this cant get any worse"At the intervention, admits to nothing, says she's done nothing wrong. But she's a refugee with poor toilet training so she has an excuse. Then goes on to put shit can Elizabeth, after Elizabeth tries to make amends. She is a nasty piece of work

Has created a furore,it has actually got people talking about what constitutes abusive behaviour and do we condone it because it is being perpetrated by a woman who seems to have little or no insight into her treatment of another person. The question here is what support ,counselling is being given to Ines and Bronson. I think the "experts" are totally out of their depth..and what are the producers thinking..they do of course have an edit button. Bullying, family violence etc is rife in this country. I am conflicted about continuing to watch ,I no longer view it as entertainment but somehow I think it's important for our national psyche. There are other issues being explored here as well. There might be a script but the people are real. Hugs Q

"This Is Which MAFS Character You'd Be Based On Your Myers Briggs Type" If there's one team the whimn.com.au team loves more than MAFS, it's Myers Briggs. And if there's one thing we love more than MAFS and Myers Briggs it's putting people we don't know into neat little pigeon holes for the sake of a good yarn. And it is from this Venn diagram of pleasure that we today draw the following scientific research: a comprehensive list of your Married At First Sight spiritual twin, based on your Myers Briggs personality type. You. Are. Welcome. ISTJ - Matthew“Ex-virgin” Matthew, as producers seem intent on calling him (although really, at this point, aren’t we all just ex-virgins?) is a classic ISTJ. At his best he’s dutiful, sweet and devoted, looking only for opportunities to make life better for other people. The flip side, however, is that the ISTJ can be notoriously set in their ways under stress - refusing to show emotion or affection, freaked out by changes in plan and - well, kind of judgy when you throw him a problematic lesbian curve ball. ESFP - SamEver the performer, at their best the ESFP can have a crowd eating out of the palm of their hand. Charming, talented and often attractive, the ESFP is everyone’s object of desire ... until they’re not. The dark side of an ESFP however can include some decidedly... well, Sam-like traits. Self-absorption, vanity and infidelity are all pitfalls of an ESFP who has strayed too far from his values, and while this doesn't appear in any official MBTI literature, have been known to awkwardly compare themselves to a 'delicious snack'. ESFJ - BronsonSweet, loyal and with rock solid values, the ESFJ is a pillar of society. They’ll often have many friends (people love someone they can depend on) and generally fit in well with most social situations. An ESFJ under extreme stress, however, might give too much of themselves, forgetting to get their own needs fulfilled until, finally, they snap and call someone a c**t on prime time television. For example. ENFP - HeidiBubbly, charming and enthusiastic about life, the ENFP generally makes friends wherever they go. They can appear scattered or unfocused by jumping from passion to passion, but their zest for life usually saves the day. An ENFP under extreme stress, however, can be so focused on being liked that they forget to check in with whether or not they’re being mistreated. Surprisingly, while they’re usually a great judge of character, an ENFP can have occasional stunning lapses in judgement - here’s looking at you, emotionless Mike. INTJ - NingAt their best the INTJ is practical, capable and creative, and while on the outside they may appear independent and detached, often hold a set of deep emotional values. This being said, the INTJ hates change and under stress can be highly critical, abrasive and combative, walking over personal relationships with reckless abandon - cue Ning's absurd wedding day behaviour and her constant nit-picking of groom Mark. ISFJ - NicLoyal, dutiful and empathetic, the ISFJ makes a great partner. At their best they're level-headed and practical, as well as being up for a challenge. Under stress, the ISFJ can become flustered, set in his ways and emotional, which we've only had fleeting glimpses of from Nic. Able to move forward from most challenges life throws at them, the ISFJ will approach testicular cancer or a crack wax in the same way: with a plan and a positive attitude. ISTP - MikeLike Mike, the ISTP is determined, independent and goal-focused, preferring to tackle projects alone and coast through life unencumbered. In an unhealthy ISTP, this can display itself as extreme commitment-phobia, self-absorption and an inability to handle anyone else's emotions. Kinda like when your new wife tells you about her traumatic childhood and your response is 'stop boring me can I touch your arse again please?' AHEM. ISFP - Lauren"Former-lesbian" Lauren is your classic ISFP - driven by a need for adventure and new opportunities, she's gentle and open-minded in her approach, preferring the road less travelled as long as it keeps her interested. On the flip side, an ISFP under stress can be frustrated when mere mortals fail to live up to their lofty ideals ... say for example, expecting a man who only put his P in a V 24 hours prior to suddenly be down with all 50 shades of your sexual fetishes. ESTP - MarkIndependent, adventure-seeking and generally good-natured, Mark's ESTP personality thrives on high-adrenaline situations, which is why he was somehow able to make it through the assault that was marrying Ning without so much as breaking a sweat. The downside of the ESTP personality is that, when pushed, they're likely to either shut down completely or run for the hills. Oh, and another little-known fact about ESTPs: they're the type least likely to own more than one plastic dinner setting. Sorry bout it. ESTJ - InesFirst off, if you're an ESTJ and you've landed on Ines, do not despair - or, as is more fitting to your personality type, do not email me in outrage. A healthy, well-balanced ESTJ can be committed, caring, assertive and practical, as well as being highly capable. But let us all agree, "healthy and well-balanced" are not adjectives we'd rush to heap on Ines, so let's get down to the dark side. An unhealthy ESTJ will be highly critical, nit-picky and completely intolerant to anyone who doesn't fit with their idea of what is acceptable. They'll readily humiliate others over perceived flaws/eyebrow jewellery and will often lose sight of the consequences of their actions. While Bronson and many others have described Ines as an alternative four-letter combination, suffice it to say that 'ESTJ' is more appropriate. INFJ - DinoKnown as the most spiritual of all the Myers Briggs types (Jesus was an INFJ, haven't you heard?), at their best they're intense, deeply principled and genuinely invested in the betterment of humanity. But let's be real - no one likes someone constantly staring at your aura (my tits are down here, Dino!) and the INFJ can be guilty of getting a little too introspective when things get stressful. INFP - CamCaring, romantic and sensitive, Cam is your archetypal INFP. A true gentleman, his intuitive nature means Jules never has to reach too far to explain how she is feeling, and his empathy means situations like a music malfunction for your first dance will become a Notebook-esque moment with a dashing prince. Under stress, however, the INFP can tend to become obsessive over small details (ew, like cricket) and live too much in daydreams and not enough in reality. But who are we kidding, CAM IS A GOLDEN UNICORN ANGEL BABY. Pat yourself on the back, INFP. ENFJ - JulesWarm, engaging and people-focused, the ENFJ is all about seeing the best in people. Not only that, but an ENFJ like Jules has the unique ability to spot a true diamond (Cam) when she sees one. Up front and honest, an ENFJ is open about what they need from a relationship (kids are a non-negotiable), but more than that, they're skilled at bringing out the very best in the people they choose to spend their time on. A word of warning, however: when pushed, an ENFJ will have very little tolerance for those they consider selfish, so get ready to see some fireworks from Jules at the dinner party when this heaving pack of personality disorders we call "most of the other contestants" get a few wines in them. ENTJ - CyrellBold, aggressive and determined, the ENTJ knows what she wants and she's not afraid to go after it. While she can come across as abrasive in a disagreement, her intuition actually leads to decent conflict resolution most of the time. That said, if the promo clips are anything to go by, Cyrell manages to get in an epic punch up in a later episode this season, which leads us to this point: cross an ENTJ and suffer the consequences. She might play around with feeding her hubby chicken feet, but our guess is Cyrell ain't playing when she goes in for the throat grab. INTP - MarthaThe INTP is all about the big picture, finding ingenious ways to make it happen. Not restricted by traditional norms, they often see life in a completely novel way - and employ novel techniques to get where they want to be. Martha might not seem at first glance like a one of Australia's great thinkers, but she's cunning, clever and open-minded as they come. Want to find a partner? Forget Tinder, make like Yia Yia and Papou did in 1940s Greece and set up an arranged marriage. Want a better face? Buy one - and own that shiz like the free-thinking feminist that you are. We are HERE for Martha's go-gettem approach. ENTP - John AikenOK, OK, so he's not a contestant, but the frosty-tipped devil's advocate is as ENTP as you could possibly get. Society's visionaries, this type of person thrives on seeing - and arguing - both sides of a situation. They're not fussed with minor details and they're not into taking sides, but they can accurately analyse most situations before spinning it to their own advantage ... say for example, a cushy job as an 'expert' on prime time TV.

Because it's not weird to include a male virgin vs a swinger/lesbian? Then there's the man who is supposedly cheating with Ines. and Don't forget the stripper. We watched Gogglebox Foxy, a disappointing reflection of society to say the least. It's no great wonder I'm not all that fond of people, especially fake people which there are far too many of. I do recognise your post Q about how the show has raised awareness of abuse by women, something I have pushed on this site for years. Getting back to my obsession with the people who create the show and the drama, I read a story with info by Sam's new girlfriend (who had nothing to do with the show) and how his situation with Ines was set up by the producers with photos as proof. Happy to say I am not one who is raising the ratings of the show. Pap for the masses. Peachy Editing fails, orders from producers and 'contrived drama': The proof that Ines and Sam's scandalous affair on Married At First Sight is FAKE Married At First Sight is bringing in record ratings, largely thanks to the 'affair' storyline between Sam Ball and Ines Basic. And while the drama has certainly made for compelling television, some viewers are convinced their illicit romance was 'staged' by producers. Fans watching at home have spotted some suspicious editing fails, while sources close to the production claim the 'affair' isn't quite what it seems. 'It feels very staged at the moment,' one longtime viewer wrote on Twitter this week. 'A lot more than previous years.' Another tweeted: 'Last year, the Davina drama seemed to unfold organically. This year it's like Ines is reading from a script.' One person even compared Married At First Sight to My Kitchen Rules, saying that the 'cartoonish villains' have turned the show into a pantomime. Meanwhile, Sam's new girlfriend Akila Ahmunett claims the tradesman, 26, was simply following directions from producers when he began his so-called 'affair'. Suggesting the incident was staged for TV, Akila told Who magazine: I've known about Ines as he explained the show and what happened on our first date. 'At the time he didn't know Ines at all so he just did what the producers wanted, but I know that he is very embarrassed and regretful of it all now.' Last year's MAFS villain Davina Rankin has also claimed her 'affair' with Dean Wells on season five didn't actually happen the way it played out on TV. 'Dean was told, "OK, get your phone out and get ready to text now," and I was told the same and when to text with cameras and lights on us," Davina told the Sydney Morning Herald this week. 'I never even kissed Dean… we were like guinea pigs, but instead of spinning on a wheel we were spinning in the one spot.' The 27-year-old has also defended Ines, urging viewers to take into account that her outrageous behaviour may be the result of the show's producers. 'Remember, we are guided in a certain way,' she said. 'So they could be just showing her worst bits.' Furthermore, eagle-eyed fans have also spotted multiple editing fails on the show. On Monday's episode, viewers noticed that the flirty text messages Ines and Sam were supposedly exchanging in 'real-time' were actually sent 12 hours apart. The footage of the text messages showed Ines' timestamp at 11:52am, while Sam only viewed it 12 hours later, at 11:52pm. Sam could not have possibly read the text at 11:52pm, however, as he was filmed opening it in broad daylight. Another editing fail involved Elizabeth Sobinoff, who magically appeared to change her entire outfit between scenes. In the first scene, she was shown apologising to Ines while wearing a fur coat and flip-flops. She then returned to her own apartment to speak to her 'husband' Sam, but was suddenly wearing a red blazer and shiny flats, and had a totally different hairstyle. 'Elizabeth comes home from apologising to Ines. Two different outfits... great editing, #MAFS ,' one person tweeted. 'The editing in this show is actually so terrible,' another wrote. 'You can tell so much of Ines and Bronson's stuff has been cut and pasted together to create drama.' Daily Mail Australia has contacted Channel Nine for comment.

The professionals will achieve because they've been on TV and gotten themselves a name. The bias by the one professional the petition was against is something I would avoid if I could. where you're coming from, Peachy, and agree the overall proposition is to get "bums on seats", but that is from the TV channel's perpective. However, if memory serves me, at the beginning of the show (and the previous seasons), the judges all pat one another on the backs early on for what they beleive is a job well done in achieving the best possible matches. Sure, the Channel has an agenda to try and keep everyone glued for the next episode, but the "experts" still have the duty to try and come up with the best possible matches, with the hope of real matches and weddings to come along later in real life. In that regard they have failed miserably each and every season, and hence my comments about not trusting any of them. I wouldn't want to publically ruin my professional status with a bogus show. ????

I would have thought that she was devoid of feelings and emotion. It's a biased and unfair view that i hold, i know that. Afterall, all i've seen of her is what the producers want to portray. Film for 5hrs, cut it , edit it, and run a snapshot of rubbish they want you to see of her, whether thats's villain or heroine depends on the flip of a coin. The "out" for the show is that they all more than likely sign waivers , but it shouldn't diminish their duty of care. Hopefully she gets some assistance. Depression can debilitating and disastrous

I was on the mobile when I came across a story late last night that I waited to share till I was on the laptop, or it was on me so to speak. I'll post it across in a moment because it exactly deals with what you have said in your last post. On your post about not trusting them due to their actions on the show in your earlier post. I can totally understand that. My points on the other side though are that there are enough deluded people in this world that the fame will be enough for them. As well as the fact that bias will suit some people, so they'll manage fine despite their poor performance. Peachy

And Gr8, yes I agree, duty of care is mentioned in this article. Peachy MARRIED AT FIRST SIGHT'It was disgusting': Lauren from MAFS unleashes on show's producers By Robert MoranFebruary 19, 2019 — 8.45am Married at First Sight's Lauren Huntriss has lashed out at the hit reality show, accusing producers of feeding her lines during filming and blasting Nine's duty of care. Huntriss, 31, a make-up artist from Sydney who was matched on the show with "virgin" Matthew Bennett, revealed she is "not coping very well" with viewer backlash following the couple's exit on Sunday. "I feel like I deserve to say my side," she told KIIS FM hosts Jackie O and Beau Ryan, saying she was "very nervous" and "kind of being a bit of a rebel right now" by speaking out against Nine and producers Endemol Shine. Among her claims, Huntriss said she was forced to say she "was a lesbian" during a key scene where she revealed she'd dated women in the past. "My producer was like, 'Fantastic, great, however, we're going to get you to re-enact that, say it again but use the word 'lesbian'. I was like, 'I'm not OK with that, I don't want to use that word, I don't label myself as a lesbian ... It didn't feel right. "[But] when you're sleep deprived, you're under all this pressure, you've got two cameramen there, your producer – and, of course, you all saw what Matt was like, he never really stood up for me. So it was like all of these men against me ... They will literally say to you, 'We'll keep you here all day until you say what we want you to say'. Lauren reveals she was made to use the word 'lesbian' by producers "I felt disgusted, I was so upset. And then I received so much hate ... For them to paint me as this nympho, it was just disgusting. I was let down." Huntriss also questioned why the production recruited participants with pre-existing mental health conditions, revealing that partner Matt was "so crippled with anxiety that 80 per cent of the time we were filming, he would just shut down when things were overwhelming". "I'm very sympathetic to the fact that Matt does suffer mental health issues. But there were a lot of things he said off camera that did concern me, and one of those that really stuck in my mind, on more than one occasion he actually said, 'Loz, I don't think I fit in on this earth. I believe I was abducted by aliens, and they've done something to my brain. Because my brain's been rewired differently; my brain hasn't been the same since I was 15.' And it really concerned me ... Like, I didn't know what to do. "I like to think [the producers] are humans, that they have feelings and can have compassion. But I don't know ... I feel like I don't matter, honestly," she continued. "I've suffered anxiety for, like, the last six years, I just feel like certain people with these mental health issues shouldn't be put on a show like this. Even though it was our choice in the end, surely there's a duty of care to say, you know what, I don't think this person is going to cope ... I'm, like, a mess." She also said she felt sorry for participant Ines Basic, who has received the season's most controversial edit so far. "Like, how is she coping? I'm not coping very well ... How are they going to walk down the street?" she said. Huntriss, who has faced extensive backlash from viewers due to her portrayal, said participants' Instagram accounts were "controlled by Nine's publicists" who approved all posts and monitored comments. She said she felt "stupid, naive" for signing up to the program with the expectation of finding love, knowing that "producers will go to extreme lengths to tell a story". "I saw the last series, I thought they've really screwed it up. They're either going to really get it right this time, or they're going to go for drama," she said. She told prospective applicants to "don't ever do it. And if you do, you have to have the thickest skin." Endemol Shine Australia has rejected Huntriss' version of events, saying she had continued access to support and chose "not to respond" to their attempts at contact. "All participants are adults and remain in full control of the choices they make. They choose to apply to be on the show, choose to accept selection, and choose whether or not to continue in the experiment. During broadcast, we continue to reach out to every participant, including Lauren," a spokesperson said on Tuesday. "They may choose not to respond to our contact and offers of support, and we respect their decision. But the offer of support remains for each and every participant. This always includes access to our show psychologist." Meanwhile, Nine, which owns this masthead, said each contestant gave permission for their social media account to be run by the network, in order to "manage any negative commentary". "We are very proactive in this space, and care for the health and wellbeing of the participants," a spokesperson said. "As a result of the level of interest in the participant's personal lives ... this year Nine is managing all individual MAFS social accounts with their permission, as an extra measure of protecting them from negativity." Huntriss' claims follow similar suggestions from previous MAFS participants, including last year's controversial contestants Tracey Jewel and Davina Rankin, who previously said she "barely got out of this whole ordeal alive. "People can ruin their lives," Rankin elaborated to the SMH earlier this month. "You have to sign a year-long contract ... and Nine basically owns you. You sign your life away for a year once you sign on that dotted line."

It's good to know that about Ines. I have refused to judge her too harshly as much as I disagreed with her behaviour preferring to wonder how much of the action and footage is manipulated. There are stories by the participants coming out all over the place that make it clear not is all as it appears. Even the participants couldn't agree where Ines supposedly got it off with Sam. I don't like being manipulated, probably why I avoid the show though I've followed the news to try to have some sort of an informed opinion. Peachy

Married At First Sight stars exposed: EIGHT cast members are revealed to be secret actors - as Dino Hira boasts about 'embracing his character' It's supposed to be a program about regular people finding love. But almost half of this year's participants on Married At First Sight are secret actors, having appeared in movies, reality shows and even McDonald's adverts. Daily Mail Australia can reveal a handful of contestants - including 'intruders' Susie Bradley, Billy Vincent and Tamara Joy - have been performers in the past. Despite being billed as a 'barista' on the show, 28-year-old Billy is actually a model and part-time actor. His biggest role to date was playing the lead in a McDonald's advert, which aired across Australia in 2012. In the commercial, Billy plays a shirtless surfer struggling to find cash. Billy's 'wife' Susie Bradley, 25, is also no stranger to being in front of the camera. In January, the mother-of-one starred in an advert for Queensland-based fitness company Peptides Direct. In the promotional film, Susie is shown in bed wearing racy lingerie alongside a tattooed gentleman, who plays her boyfriend. Meanwhile, Tamara Joy likewise appears to be a budding actress. The 29-year-old brunette has a StarNow profile listing herself as an 'actor, extra and model'. Meanwhile, it appears that she uses a stage name on Married At First Sight, with her real name being Tamara Laing. Dino Hira, 34, is perhaps this season's most accomplished screen talent. After spending several years as a small-time actor in various productions, he appeared in Australian movie Eleven Days in 2018. In May, just four months before filming his MAFS wedding, Dino boasted of his passion for acting on Instagram. He wrote: 'When the director says "Action!" I get a thrill in the feeling that it is my chance to forget my own past or my future and embrace living in the character I play!' Dino, who is billed as a 'meditation coach' on MAFS, also featured in a campaign for prescription glasses company Speqs with co-star Jessika Power in 2017. In a surprising twist, Dino's 'ex-wife' Melissa Lucarelli happens to be an aspiring actress too. In addition to her day job as a talent agent, the 38-year-old has previously starred as an extra in Home and Away. An IMDB page under Melissa's name lists an upcoming role in an Australian production titled 'The Script of Life'. Of course, Melissa isn't the only Married At First Sight star to have made an appearance on Home and Away. Sam Ball starred as a 'river boy' during scenes that aired in January 2018. Last year, he made several appearances in crime thriller series, Secret City, which is currently streaming on Netflix. In his now-deleted Star Now acting profile, Sam wrote: 'I have a tendency of making people say "wow" after every experience.' Before finding fame on Married At First Sight, Gold Cost-based electrician Mike Gunner previously starred in a low-budget movie. Footage resurfaced last month of the 43-year-old playing a gun-toting criminal in an unknown project. 'He always wanted to be a model or actor,' an ex-girlfriend recently said. Bronson Norrish, who was described as an 'entrepreneur' on the show, is also no stranger to the spotlight. The 35-year-old, going by the stage name 'Bronson Foxx', worked as a stripper for several years before retiring to start his own business. Prior to filming Married At First Sight, he notably appeared as a contestant on Australian Ninja Warrior. An Endemol Shine Australia spokesperson, who produce Married At First Sight, said: 'This is categorically untrue, none of the MAFS participants are actors.'

Hasn't it generaly been the case in most of the so-called reality shows, that there is always an agend by the participants to get more than their 15 minutes worth ? Trying to get noticed for parts in other shows, movies or whatever else, trying to ressurect a career that possibly died out some time previously ? The object of the show is just secondary, along with some good pay cheques in the process. Tall

As Tall. has said, many of the participants on these shows are often there to further a career. Many also rotate through these shows over the years. There is also a possibility that the call up for such a show is going to attract a greater number of certain types of people. More to the point, if you include actors of any description, Even if they are Not working to a script and you Haven't cast them as performers, (and when I have read quotes by the EP, she has been quite specific in her wording), by casting participants who act, you allow them an opportunity to showcase their acting skills. Does it mean they are always or all disingenuous with their self portrayal, no, however, the opportunity exists to act and add to any showreel. And with viewing numbers around 1.3 million, sometimes more, what an opportunity. Perhaps there in lies the problem. Nine will, on the basis of those type of figures, and what it means to possible advertising revenue, as well as the kudos of a ratings win, will see them continue to cast as they have previously. For most shows, outside of news and current affairs, to hold or build and audience throughout a run, is difficult and doesn't happen often, so MAFS and The Block, for instance, will continue until people find that casting too staged. Of late, I think the only other shows, outside of the usual news et cetera shows, to hold or increase their ratings on free-to-air television are Murder in Paradise and Agatha Raisin. .. So watch knowing what it is you are watching. Some will be happy to do that, others won't be. This is the first season we have watched, although we missed some early episodes. It's always interesting to see what all the talk is about and why Nine fill their newsfeed with advertising the show. .. I have seen that a few of the worst behaved participants have since said that they regret their behaviour at times and are sorry for it. Perhaps that too is as much about preservation within and industry as anything else. But I'm a cynical old bastard, so you be the judge of their apologies. .. Mr. urn. .
