Even if it is on a hired 250 cc Honda motor scooter but I love it just the same.. Takes my mind back to riding through the rain forests at sunset in Thailand.. absolutely stunning . I know I'm no bad ass mother bikie, but I did have a gorgeous Thai girl jump on the back when I stopped at traffic lights once... that was nice.. lol..

Seeing a man dressed in his full leather gear ready for bike ride. I see pride and confidence. I love the "broke in look" rustic leather look (it's hot!). 😍😍 Why is it, you never really see bikers in that brand new shiny leather jacket look? 😯 Ms Foxy

I was involved in a huge bike ride. Hearing the roaring sounds of over 125 (stunning) Harley bikes made the hairs over my body shiver. I could listen to that sound all day long. 📢🎶🎶 Ms Foxy

I'd never ridden in Thailand till our last trip ,Bangkok and Patong just scare the shit out of me with the confusion and Kai's ,but we have happily jumped in the back of some locals scooters ,last time we hired our own on kho Samui ,due to not many cars and beautiful easy roads that you can circumnavigate the whole island in a day, stopping for many snacks and drinks - Posted from rhpmobile

Use to ride a Bonny. Also rode in some enduros on the Pilbara on a 250 dirt. Was quite hilarious now I look back.. Only girl struggling like hell amongst the experienced. Certainly new what bloody huge bruises were. But the beers and laughs all worth it. I like cafe racers and if I finally get my licence I'd probs invest in a basket case. ;-) - Posted from rhpmobile

to the bike hire at every port visit when I was in the RAN. Had quite a few memorable rides in exotic locations... On one trip to Port Blair (Andaman Island), most of us had to share scooters. (It's quite a small place, and relatively little vehicle traffic). Four of us took two scooters for the three days we were there. During the first hour out we took a ride around the coastline. I was on the second scooter. Coming around a bend at full throttle (aka ~45-50kph), we came across a downed power line laying across the roadway and there was no hope of stopping. The first scooter got over it clean, but the cable kicked up and snagged us on the trailing scooter like the arrester cable on an aircraft carrier flight deck. We kept the scooter upright, but stopping against handlebar and gooseneck sucked. Another trip to Penang (Malaysia), we took bikes out for a spin on Pangkor Island. That day we arrived at a scene shortly after an American sailor from another ship in the task group lost his life in a crash. That was a pretty sobering experience.

a 250cc LTD Kwaka commuter bike for a few years to get to and from work. During one period living away in Army Barracks in WA, I took the bike out goofing around on their vehicle training track whilst wearing just shorts. Was riding at only low speed, but I came a gutser when my front wheel struck the edge of a large rock buried in sand and the bike slid from under me. I came away with a 6" x 4" 3rd degree exhaust burn on the inside of my right calf. Last time I ever wore shorts on a bike.

foolishness on a bike was a power trial on an FJ1100 Yamaha. Tank-slap at ~130kph. (Wheel alignment was off).

Yep, agree riding in Thailand will frighten the shit out of you.. And you're right , the rule is there's no rule . The trick is the ole ' when in Rome ' go with the flow type thing.. I remember the first time I rode in phuket.. Pulled up at set of lights '. just me.. They have those lights that show how long you have before changing. Well '. By the time was in the last 10 seconds , there must of been 100 or more bikes pulled up beside , behind , in fact everywhere. Lights changed and it was on , it was either go or get run over.. Glimpse in the rear vision mirror was just as many bikes as what was in front.. and if you baulked you'd be run over .. Lol.. Scary , but what a great experience..

I am mobile again after having my T595 Daytona triple stolen and trashed. Not ready ding is like being held captive and enclosed within the prison bars of a Tin roof and glass cell. I've become free again with the purchase of a 1200 cc boxer twin. Not the spark and zing of the Daytona nor the top end howl, but plenty of go from low down. It's all about the freedom and visceral or primal feeling of the wind and the vibrations between your thighs.. Thanks fir starting this topic. Don - Posted from rhpmobile

Quoting 'boobs_or_bust' Have seen a few ,at the time they are all like ,ouch that stung I will be ok only a little bit red ,I think hmmm wait till later ,lol, always goes from small to hideous in a few hours thank god my headers are tucked in nice and close to the motor And I'm not stupid enough to wear shorts on a bike , no under thigh or calf burns for me - Posted from rhpmobile The exhaust burn I mentioned occurred in 1994. Foolishly, I chose to ride the track at Irwin Barracks on the spur of the moment. The entrance to the track there was nearby to the barracks block I was staying in, and I thought I'd take a quick sticky beak since there was no-one around. I had just been sitting in the Saturday morning sunshine out front of the block. Moving at very low (trial riding) speed, when the front of the bike slipped, I remained upright, but the bare exhaust header wiped up my leg. Only took a fraction of a second to injure, but over two months to fully heal. Despite the depth of the burn, it had been healing quite well initially, but became prolonged due to secondary injury... Upon return to my local watering hole after a couple of months away, and whilst sitting on a stool at the bar with my leg crossed (right ankle to left knee with my jeans positioned up off my skin to prevent contact and rubbing of the wound), a mate I used to play Pool with (who was unaware of the burn) greeted me with a full, openhanded horse-slap directly to the wounded part of my leg. That immediately burst open again the full area of the wound. Absolute blinder! That hurt much more than when I first injured it. Jeans leg was completely blood-soaked in moments. Had never ridden in shorts before. Never did it again.

Who had a side car outfit based on a Triumph Trident, anyways one of our weekend rides over the Black Spur he decides to take the bike solo. First set of traffic lights he stops at he just sort of hovers there in balance and then keels over in slo motion. Forgot to put his foot down without the chair attached.

We had a couple of bikes about ten years ago and haven't ridden in that ten years. So for me I just need to spend a bit of quality time on the bike at the moment getting reacquainted and practicing being on two wheels again. The XL1200T is very easy to ride with nice clutch and brakes feel, I was actually surprised how refined the Harley is and how many features they have added. Although I'm sure the features are just following what is standard on many other makes, but when I used to think of Harley Davidson I just thought of simple, bare basic bikes. While the superlow suits my height, I chose it for a few reasons... weight and panniers, but mostly fuel capacity. The super low is the only sportster without the peanut tank. Plus it's the 1200 and not an 883. And Mr B, I hear what you say about the ground clearance in a tight corner, but for me slow and steady is just fine. When I get a bit more adventurous I'm hoping the Mrs might like this one if I upgrade ;-)

Have been riding for some time now mainly Virargo 250 and a 250 Hysong Aquilia. Decided to move up to larger capacity bike and as have Re decided to buy an new Yamaha XVS650 Custom star which can ride under LAMS. Sold the Hysong and took delivery of the Yamaha on a Wednesday. Got payment for the Hysong that night. Next day went to Post Office and put money into my bank account. Riding back to work came to a set of traffic lights and was waiting for lights to change. Lights changed and moved off but stalled and got rear ended by a car. Result was brand new bike with 40k on clock was written off. Had been riding bike for less than 24 hours. Luckily insurance replaced bike with same model which have been riding for 6 months now with 4000k on clock. Love the feeling or riding on road run with a couple of mates at least now stand better chance of keeping up with them

Bought a bike and got back into riding earlier this year Rode bikes a lot when I was younger but stopped and things got in the way. Thought about getting back into bikes a few times over the years but the 250cc restriction for 12 months put me off, never got around to getting a license when I was younger. The changes to LAMS requirements allowing up to 650cc albeit restricted made far more attractive to get licensed and get back into riding. Really enjoying the Suzuki 650 GSX Up for a Perth group ride if anyone else is interested.

I was lucky enough to work in a Sydney motorcycle dealership that encoraged us mechanics to take a different demo bike home every day and at the time my wife and I lived with her parents which made it a bit hard to make noise in the bed room. So we would take the freeway south to the stanwell park turn off usually in top gear flat out which definitely got us revved up then find a quiet parking spot in Royal National park and have some of the most memorable wild sex ever on the bikes. We recommend sex on two wheels to all it'll put a smile on your dial for weeks😎 - Posted from rhpmobile

We are both riders, we both ride vintage dirt bikes and I ride a 75 XS650 custom bobber. Nothing beats getting out 9n the bikes, whether a quick run through the back roads, or an 8 hour Enduro in the southern forests! The dirt bikes have been gold for getting real good and secluded too ;) - Posted from rhpmobile

Have always had larger sports bikes and spend a bit of time on the track, which I would recommend to all to try once. Now where do I find a lady with a passion for motorbikes, surfing and lingerie...?

Picked up our latest ride in Sydney in November 2010 ultra limited Harley Took a week to ride home. Catching up with family & friends who ride on the way home. Summer time in the west can suck. 48 deg on the way home was a bit warm. But riding weather at the moment. Been to a few HOG rally's over the years. But the most memorable was on our las trike 97 ultra. Did about 4000 k in 10 days and visited 6 states. Just a great ride
