Spelling and Grammar - a bit of class with your kink?

February 01 2020

How many of you out there have a thing for correct spelling and grammar in Profiles and initial contact?Personally I find it very sexy if a man (and woman) know how to string together an intelligent sentence (with perfect grammar of course 🥰). I’m curious to know who else out there feels the same way?

You used more unique words than 90% of Grammarly users. Wonder if Cunt features in that.

To answer OP. It doesn't bother me and I would certainly not judge people about it. However, I find it OK to be corrected or to correct people when there's a spelling/grammar mistake (I'm not speaking about a typo or something similar). You don't learn if nobody tells you when something is wrong. Obviously you need to say it without being rude or making fun of them. English is my second language and I find it sometimes frustrating when people just let me say the wrong thing again and again without correcting me. I don't ask to be corrected on every little things though but you can easily guess when someone just doesn't do it right because they never learnt about it.

100% prefer a profile & conversation that consists of proper spelling and is grammatically correct - or at least attempts to (easy to tell)...otherwise it is just laziness.

Definitely a big thing. Shows intelligence and whether you have it or not, intelligence is a turn on

Unfortunately the ones who are particular about spelling may spell well but should have spent more time on there sexual education

Spelling and grammar is often an indication of social class. Lol not what the OP intended.

Social class, not social value. If you know what a bogan is then you know about social class in Australia. It offends some when poor grammar or spelling is used because they don’t want to associate with someone from a lower class, nor think of themselves that way. To say poor grammar or spelling is lazy implies there was a choice made. Education (or factors that allow someone to benefit from education) is often not a choice.

Being able to spell is a big turn on for me, it does show intelligence and pride in themselves. I can’t stand all the shortened abbreviations that I don’t know what they mean and the messages WYD Is not a message at ALL

I don't equate the ability to spell and use grammar with class. I do question how arseholy people can be while they're sitting up on their high horses. 🍑

It's nice to see correct spelling and grammer, but its not the end of the world! There are many out there who for no fault of their own have not had the educational benifits that others have had. I would rather have misspelt words than messaging short cuts used; to me that laziness

Me too! Though, my man and I laugh that I am great at spelling and grammar, but he can lift heavy things and fix anything. He also earns more than me. No judgements. Just fun.

Yes and no. I have to let it all go on this site, because there's no spellcheck and no edit function. Sometimes i take the time to triple check everything befire I post, but not usually. So people may be put off me due to my spelling (and I DO look a bit bogan in that singlet), so it probably serves me right. Because I'm totally put off by bad grammar and some mispellings. I judge bogans, abbreviators and dumbasses six ways toll Sunday! How very DARE they write to me in that tone!* Some of my cringiest: You're not ALOUD here I agree, DEFIANTLY! Keys in a BOWEL I take the time to check a profile and also, most times, you can read between the lines and see when english is not a persons first language. I've seen folks ABSOLUTELY vilified on here (by the usual suspects, you know the ones, theyve hit something to say on EVERY post) for poor spelling and grammar, when it's obvious the op is not a native speaker, and their simple question was taken as an insult or misconstrued. Even some perfectly reasonable (and worded) questions can set them off, because they troll through the forums, looking for things to be offended by, and see every post through the prism of their own prejudices and/or preconceptions Just like this one actually. *Sarcasm bitches 😂

I would rather read a poorly spelled post which says something than a grammatically correct load of drivel.
