Who has them? What are they of? What do they mean? Do you like them, hate them, feel indifferent...? I have one around my wrist which is a vine and rose intertwined with my children's names and I've just booked a shoulder piece which will be a Phoenix - symbolism is fairly obvious here although what the ashes represent is different for everyone...

Quoting 'norm753' yeah that's funny,,, seeing a white boy with tribal tats.. like the limo driver out of crocodile Dundee said " what trarb you from ?"" WTFone day some yuppie is gonna walk out of the tattoo shop,, sporting his great new tribal ink,, then wonders why a big kiwi dude punched him in the face. His tattoo actually meant " you dumb fuck sheep fucker, your a pussy and you hit like a girl " ... seen as a tribal tattoo would never translate to anything remotely like that - that's not what they're about. Besides, the majority of what is seen here there and everywhere today is 'Kirituhi' which is merely a design with a Maori flavour that can be applied anywhere for any reason on anyone ... unlike the traditional 'Moko', which is one of a kind - no two tattoos are alike and require a process of consents.
